Master Advanced Materials Analysis - Batch of 2026
4.1
100% equipped, highly qualified professors and a massive university to build a great future.
Tips: TU Bergakademie Freiberg is for absolute studious people. They will definitely get the best education possible for us, so be more attentive to classes and don't be behind in the part-time jobs. The university will provide part-time jobs, which are student assistants under many Ph.D. scholars, so we can gain professional experience while getting paid. My fee for studies was zero, but I did pay a semester contribution, which is nearly INR 8,500. So, upcoming students, please come with an open mind to struggle, collaborate, grow and achieve. I'm 100% satisfied with my university, my course, and Germany.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty members are 100% qualified, supportive, and easily approachable. Their well-equipped labs and newly innovative equipment enhance student understanding of machinery. Teaching is comfortable and easy to understand, and all the faculty members are great for career development. Most of the faculty members are within the European Union, but some are from Pakistan and India.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Freiberg is a small town that lacks transportation options like trams and the S-Bahn. Public transportation is spotty at best. There are only two buses that travel to the university, and both depart every hour. While it's possible to take a train, you'll have to wait at least 30 minutes, and it will take 30 to 40 minutes to reach major cities like Chemnitz and Dresden. As a result, transportation is somewhat difficult here.

MBA International Business and Resources in Emerging Markets (IBRE) - Batch of 2026
1.9
Mining university without minerals.
Tips: The German language is a must. Some practical experience is provided.
I have applied for scholarships, but my profile was not selected. My course is good and has demand in future. They can find other options if they can. For entertainment, there is nothing. Less crowded and so on.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Students can reach to the faculty easily. We have to book slots for an appointment, and we can meet them. They are very friendly and help us in every matter.
I have a compulsory Erasmus, so professors help us with everything like application, accommodation and so on.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation is not frequent here. No Tram after 8 pm, no transportation. When we come back from any other city, we have to walk.
Even our university is not offering semester tickets as well. We have to buy Deutschland tickets ourselves. In many of the universities in Germany, they provide students with a Deutschland Ticket, even though they have very good and frequent transportation available.

Living and studying in Bingen.
Tips: Bingen is a small town, so there are not a lot of international students. Basic German language proficiency is advantageous.
Expect some cultural differences, especially in food. However, vegetarian options are usually available. The university gave me skills, friends and experiences that will last a lifetime.
Likes (Value for money): If you're doing studies in the German language, the tuition fee is very inexpensive. Studies are subsidised in Germany. Compared to other countries, the course is a fraction of the cost.
The tuition fee also includes the train ticket, which allows you to travel in a wide area with public transport.
Dislikes (Student Life): Bingen is a small city, so expecting a lot of events is not possible. Not many events were organised or planned during my study period, but Corona is also partly responsible for that. Now the situation has changed with more activities being organised, even in the English language. Moreover, students can join technical or sports clubs or contribute to the student organisations.

Life at TH Bingen University, Germany.
Tips: Know what course you really wanted to pursue and have passion and interest for it. Cultural shifts like learning German language is important here, time management is a real deal to manage Food, expenses, studies and part time. Here in Germany, University doesn't really matter. What's important is how you gain experiences, what skills you develop networking.
Likes (Safety): In Germany, as a girl I feel really safe and even traveled during night and it's due to their safe culture. I got opportunities to work in big companies like BASF and if you work hard it's possible to achieve it. Bad experience depends like not many people are around you so you have to develop survival skills, focus on why you came to this country instead of going off track or indulging in wrong activities.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): After getting a secured job and further opportunities to grow, I would like to settle here but every country has its own pros and cons, which depend on personal choice. For example: Healthcare system is slow in Germany but it's compulsory to have health insurance here. Digitalization is not at a very fast pace but you get nature, clean air, good work culture and ethics here.

Academically, it will be a good decision to join the college
Tips: The college does not get enough funding from the Government. Options for student assistant job here is not much. People living in Bingen will also have limited options for part-time jobs until and unless they live in Mainz, which is a big city near Bingen.
Likes (Safety): People are friendly and helping. They mind their own business. If you face a problem speaking German then they will quickly try to help you in English. It is recommended that you should learn German a little before coming here. It will be helpful to you.
Dislikes (Internships): The college does not make it mandatory to do a three month internship. The rest of the colleges provide 6 months period to do an internship. Faculties can help you find an internship but not much. University is not going to find any internship for you.
