A great place to learn and grow.
Tips: Students should know that the college offers a supportive learning environment an active student life and good faculty members but it also expects you to be disciplined and manage your time well. Getting involved in clubs and activities really help you to grow.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The professors are genuinely knowledgeable and truly care students learning. They are very approachable we can talk to them after class or reach out anytime for doubts and guidance. Their teaching style is also unique they mix theory with real examples.

Diverse and career focused learning.
Tips: A student should know that UEL offers a diverse, career focused learning environment with a strong support service and modern facilities especially at the Dockland campus. They provide good transport links through the DLR, on campus accommodation and helpful services like the career zone and 24/7 libraries.
Dislikes (Internships): As of now, in my course, I have not seen any internship programme yet or might be I lack knowledge about internships but that's my honest opinion so far about my university.

My university is very friendly and welcoming.
Tips: You should know your university, academic programs, key deadline, campus resources, student supports, student services, be aware of facilities like the swimming pool, career central, club, understand tuition scholarship and housing options. Knowing this helps your native campus life be effective and take full advantage of your university experience.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work opportunities on or around campus are generally good but can vary based on the campus location filled with students and individuals. Many colleges offer on campus jobs such as a Library assistant, researcher or academic roller that are flexible with class schedules.

My universe is very friendly when it comes to help students.
Tips: I think they should just know the basic knowledge about what a university offers to their international students such as academic programs, key deadlines, campus resources, student support, student services, rules, be aware of facilities like the library, career, Central and clubs scholarship, and even get some knowledge about accommodation, housing accommodation and etc.
Likes (Indian Food): I gave 5 stars rating to food option in my country of origin because of the incredible diversity, culture, richness and availability of both traditional and modern cuisine. One of the main reason for this high rate is the variety of regional food available is nice.
Dislikes (Public transportation): In London, public transport is really good. The only problem is that sometimes you can get very crowded and you might have to wait for half an hour for your bus or train. That's the only reason I don't like but rest, I think it's very good.

Good university for pursuing BSc in CS.
Tips: I couldn't believe that everyone at this university was super friendly and easily approachable. I was surprised to receive a 3,000 scholarship while applying to the programme for my first year, so that's a nice plus. I'm happy here, although I can't say it's one of the top choices out there. This is a really good university if you are looking for a college that is in an area with city life. You will not find it here if you're looking for something with more greenery and a rural setting. If you want to attend a university where you will be helped as much as possible, this is the place for you. Every member of the staff, faculty, and administration is extremely dedicated to helping students thrive in their studies. The level of support you get from your tutor is something else. They are there for you at any time of day, any day of the week, no matter where you are. You can contact them for any questions or concerns you have about your modules. I'm sure I won't ever regret coming to this university.
Likes (Internships): They do help us or guide us 100% for our internship. When I was trying to get my internship, it was hard for me because, as a student who doesn't have any idea about the system going around in this country, it was hard. But the tutor really helped me to get one and guided me through it.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fees are a bit higher for international students, and local students pay only half as much for the same courses. I paid 12,700 GBP for my first year before scholarship, but it's increasing every year, which makes it a bit harder for me. Then one of my mates in the programme was paying way lessu20149,000 GBP per year. That disappoint me a lot.

You get a lot of free resources as a UEL student.
Tips: You get a lot of free resources as a UEL student, which you must utilise. The university spans across 3 major campuses in East London, and the accommodation within the University is at the Docklands campus. If you are planning to enrol on a course at this university, then it will be ideal to either live on campus or live nearby so that you can best experience the student life. There are various opportunities to participate in cultural, sports, fun, creative, tech and informative activities all across the University campuses for all the students all year round. The atmosphere is amazing and all the festivals are celebrated throughout the year. The faculty is from all over the world, with different accents and teaching styles. This might create some barriers for students from the Indian subcontinent. They do try to help the students in any way they can, and the faculty has a wealth of knowledge, but there are still some communication problems, especially for students with less experience with the English language.

Strong academics, amazing student life and a diverse learning environment.
Tips: I came here after Covid, and I can see a difference between the Indian and London education systems. There was a cultural shift in my experience here, but it did positively influence my awareness, celebrations, and the impact I’m having here. Unfortunately, I didn't get any scholarships. The rejections I’ve encountered were definitely a part of the learning curve. Overall, my experience in London has been quite rewarding. I am satisfied with the course, coursework, knowledge, faculty, networking opportunities, and social events, including all the parties and gatherings.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty for my course were very accessible and approachable. The most unique and very interesting methodology that I find quite helpful was implementing whatever you study into real life scenarios right after you study with help of role play, group discussion. Diversity was very much so in play I had teachers from Belgium, France, USA and UAE.
Dislikes (Part time work): Considering the job market, you do have to hunt for the part-time and go to every extent and try every option available. You need to organize your day and work, and most of the time it works out quite well for people. The pay range is from minimum wage to 1-2 pounds or more.

The university is good for international students, but you should keep your options open.
Tips: You will definitely face hardships because of the weather, but it's really lovely. I had no scholarships but students do get it, so talk with the university, I'm sure you'll get it. The university is okay not that good, but it's in London, that's the best part. The crowd is almost all Indian, so you won't get much exposure to foreign students. But that's good and bad at the same time. The courses are really well structured but don't take the placement year. It's useless and will not help you. What matters is you come here and get a job in a good country with a quality crowd.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is absolutely amazing, but it is subjective. If you are an outgoing person who is friendly with everyone, you will enjoy it here. The campus organizes events that keep students engaged, and they also have a common house where we can play games, do arts and crafts, and use the PS. There are many communities, such as the Indian, Bangladesh, and other regional communities, that organize events on special occasions.
Dislikes (Indian Food): For someone coming here from India, the restaurants here are a big disappointment. Both, the taste and the money are not worth it. I rather prefer cooking by myself. I'm not a professional but it is what I grew up eating and those taste hold a special place in our heart.

Money is not well spent.
Tips: No matter how much the University provides academics students have to look for employability skills. Only those who are in the eyes of the staff will be able to take up roles. This will fall on the level of enthusiastic participation. Scholarship and laptop allowance are there for free. UK is best but UEL is not even in average in the performance. I got lot of opportunities but I am afraid not everyone would be getting not even 5%.
Likes (Student Life): There are many things that go to keep the students active in campus. Though sometimes everyone goes for various part times and are not able to participate but is worth. Every now and then you will get goodies and good enjoyment. The campus is very impressive.
Dislikes (Internships): Mostly the department is trying to enhance the options, but unfortunately, there is nothing to learn or the quality of the learning or encouragement is not fruitful. It is better to take any analytics course than IBM. Doesn't fill the late for opportunities or employability. Internships are not much to go for practical exposure. They say they have a lot of plans but are uncertain.

Tips: After coming to this college students can easily take up a job here and get settled. There are many opportunities. I did not experience much transition after coming here as I have lived like this in India. England is a good country to live in and be more modern. Cheerful and intellectual experience
Tips: Scholarships are only offered to students who have been consistent in their academics and have a GPA of 3 and above. Also speaking good English and being an active participant will get you a lot of opportunities and you will be able to connect with people across the city and campus.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is very well connected and many options are available to commute like buses, rental cycles, trams, etc. Some students even get bus passes issues through the local depot. You can even get assistance from the University office. The tickets are also very cheap and helpful to international students who do not have their own conveyance.
Dislikes (Value for money): It gets very difficult for international students to settle down here due to very high living costs and rents. Also, food options are not adequate and it would be advised to cook your own food and buy your own groceries. Part-time jobs are also very less here and if you are able to secure then pay would not be that high.

Easy going university. You need to improve your skills by doing practical projects
Tips: There is not much of a cultural change because you can find many people from your home country India here. I got 2500 pounds international scholarship for only the first semester and for the next 2 years, the chances of getting scholarships for Indians is nearly 0 per cent. I like the course and the modules offered at the university.
Likes (Public transportation): It is well connected to central London which is 20 minutes of train ride. The bus charges are low compared to London living standards and for buses, 24hr transportation is available in the city. The last train ride to the university is at around 11 pm in Central London.
Dislikes (Internships): We have careerzone in the University which helps students soft skills required for the jobs and guides students on how to prepare job-ready resumes. They will conduct the mock interviews as well. The internships through the university are available only to UK and EU students.

Easy-going, fun and lovable learning experience!
Tips: Life can initially be very challenging as setting down in a new country and environment can be stressful. Also, accommodation can be another challenge so be well prepared or book your accommodation in advance before moving in. Was offered 2K pounds of scholarship as an early bird. Was very satisfied with the course and curriculum.
Likes (Indian Food): Many Indian food outlets are available near our campus from northern India which is good in taste but cannot be compared to Indian standards. The food usually here is a bit on the expensive side so would not suggest eating out regularly if you are on a strict budget.
Dislikes (Student Life): Campus has very good infrastructure and facilities like library, dorms, food outlets. Vending machines are also available. Campus culture here is very different as compared to India. Student unions and societies organize many events on a daily basis which you can participate in. Not supportive and discriminating
Tips: Choose this university only if you are doing Masters in cloud computing or sports degree. Also you should have enough funds for survival as there is a rare chance of having a part time job. You should have substantial work experience and skills so that you can secure a good job in UK, don't depend on the university, they won't help.
Likes (Public transportation): The transportation is good but I have deducted one point because of the frequent disclosure. All three campuses of the University are well connected with the city's public transport, there are two railway stations connected with the main campus and also University provides bus service across all three campuses.
Dislikes (Part time work): Honesty, talking about on campus jobs, I found it a very big scam. As what University administration advertises and the reality of the jobs. They follow discriminating policies for Asian students while making recruiting decisions, they try to suppress Asian applicants by misinforming or completely not informing them about the job opportunities. Still an Asian candidate manages to make an application they will reject it without any solid reason and prefer white and black even if they are lacking behind the Asian applicants.

Excellent University for overseas students and the best faculty.
Tips: University of East London is the best. Friendly environment and approachable faculty with an academically strong presentation by the faculty. In addition, the multicultural environment will really help an overseas student to gain in-depth knowledge about various activities related to the course you are in. However, the fee structure will make you think twice to get in enrolled. Above all, you will live in a different culture and environment here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): When it comes to teaching faculty, they are most helpful and approachable towards students. In addition, the methodologies used were excellent especially the group discussion and the challenging debate and talk to share views and ideas were mind-blowing where you will be overwhelmed.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Well I'm interested but I want to move back to my home country and share the ideas and methodologies I have learned which would be helpful to the future generation. However, if I get the chance to be here of course I will serve the youngsters to help in their education and make the best citizens of the country.

University has good infrastructure and facilities with 24/7 library available for students.
Tips: Students need to sort out their accommodation first. After completion of the course, students need to find opportunities by themselves because universities have very limited options and very high competition. In one course there are around more than 1000 students in one class.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport inside the city is very communicative which covers every single part of the city. There are different modes available like buses, tubes, taxis even connectivity to both main airports is also very easy. But transportation is a bit expensive. So I'll recommend a new person to make your budget after doing proper R&D about this city.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It is very hard to find a sponsored job for a freshly graduated person and even hard for an experienced person who does not come from IT or Health background. And for permanent immigration, it took around 5 years to get an ILR in which your PSW and your study year do not count. So it is going to depend on your study year and if you are taking PSW.

Good for higher education.
Tips: Attendance and assignments are checked very seriously. The marking is very strictly done and we have more failures during the first term, so students need to work on their assignments very seriously. Teachers are good but it is time for students to understand the way to write assignments. If you want to enjoy college, you should apply for the programs that are run in the morning.
Likes (Safety): We have classes for MA in Education during the evening. So travelling at night back home was never a challenge instead you can beat all the traffic congestions. There are not many issues with transportation in UK as the connectivity is good in London. However, it could be a challenge if there are any traffic diversions or train terminations.
Dislikes (Internships): No internships are available for MA Education. If you are looking for a job during your initial days and trying to get into a school, lectures do give you the required reference letters to start your career, which I think is good support to start your career.

Be prepared to live independently and make sure you can cook your own meals. Having tasty, home-style food and a peaceful place to stay can make your university experience a lot more enjoyable. And once you arrive, you can also make friends with people from many countries. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Generally, the facilities for students are amazing. In particular, the departments are excellent because they use interactive lectures, case studies, and research-lead teaching professionals. Overall, the professors are good, as faculty diversity is high, with professors of various nationalities. Additionally, these professors are approachable during office hours and friendly to all students, ensuring a good educational experience.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transport in the city is useful, but it can be costly. Traveling by bus, train, and tram is often delayed and expensive. Fares are on the high side. If you miss your bus, you could be waiting 15–20 minutes for the next one.

The availability of part time on-campus is very low and the university is very competitive.
Tips: Students should be aware of cultural differences and have essential life skills like cooking. They also need to be able to manage a 16-hour day with academics, part-time work, and personal obligations. Unfortunately, I did not receive a scholarship because they are very limited and competitive. The people here are generally nice, and there are always security guards and police officers around to keep everyone safe. If you are thinking about moving here, I would say that you should consider it. The city has a lot to offer, and I think you will be happy with your decision. I am very satisfied with my course, university, and the country.
Dislikes (Part time work): The availability of part time work on campus is very low and given the number of students at the university, it's very competitive. The city is expensive and it is difficult to find part time job.
Tips: This college is nice, and most of the faculty are really nice. However, some teachers have a very memory-based teaching method, which makes it difficult to learn the concepts that are being taught. Also, Auckland is very expensive, especially rent, so students should do their research on the country and the college before deciding to study here. Finding a job is very difficult, both part-time and full-time, so students should consider all their options, including studying in Australia.
Likes (Indian Food): Auckland has a large Indian community, and as a result, there are a lot of Indian restaurants and grocery stores in the city. Indian restaurants cost about 30-40 dollars per meal. The restaurants are expensive, but if you buy groceries at Indian stores and cook at home, you can save a lot of money. The grocery stores also have a wide variety of Indian ingredients that you can use to cook your own meals.
Dislikes (Part time work): The job market in Auckland is very tough as the country is deep in recession, and there are no part-time jobs. Students might find some casual jobs, but those are one-offs, and the students cannot rely on them. Barely any student in my Cohort has a job yet. It has been around more than 5 months and everyone is just relying on the money from parents. Living costs are through the roof so surviving here as a student is stressful and tough.

University Of Auckland: Opportunities, growth and adaptation.
Tips: Students should be aware that the coursework here is intensive, so time management is crucial. They should explore the resources available to them such as the library, labs and student clubs. One should also do a thorough research of the cost of living in the respective area. I am also a recipient of the University of Auckland India Achievers Scholarship, which partly covered my tuition fees for a year. I applied by submitting my academic transcripts, statement of purpose and recommendation letters. I am very happy to be a student here and look forward to gaining work experience after completing my studies.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation system in Auckland is very convenient. Buses and trains run frequently and the routes are well-connected to major areas. Students can easily commute to and from campus using a Transportation Card that can be used on all public transport with just a tap. The card needs to be recharged once it gets exhausted.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The University of Auckland has a diverse faculty but the quality of the teaching faculty varies greatly from department to department. The faculty in my department is comprised of some of the most highly skilled mathematics professors in New Zealand. However it can be difficult to reach out to them because of the large number of students they have to handle.

Esha’s positive opinion about life at the University of Auckland.
Tips: The culture itself is very diverse with a lot of clubs and event always going on. I did not apply for any scholarships, however, there are plenty to apply for and always advertised in and outside of class. I am, overall, very satisfied with the University of Auckland, the quality of my engineering courses, and the kiwi atmosphere as a whole.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are all easily accessible by email, in-person after classes, and via office hours which they all offer. Teaching methods vary across faculty members however they all ask for feedback and cater to each class to meet the class's wants and needs. The teaching faculty is incredibly diverse in both nationality and gender.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The campus is very well connected with the rest of the city, in fact it is in the centre. Public transport is everywhere, and you can use it to get anywhere, however, the prices have gone up, so I highly recommend applying for a Tertiary Study discount.

Overall, I’ve loved my experience here.
Tips: I found the transition easy as everyone was super friendly. I stayed in halls in my first year. I was able to make friends easily, as I have always been a very social person. The halls were the right place for me to be, and I would recommend it to all of you.
Likes (Part time work): I work as a student ambassador and editor of our magazine, both of which pay me around 25 dollars an hour. The work is hectic but manageable. The magazine is a 5-hour-a-week work, and student ambassadors let me pick up shifts according to my convenience.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I usually cook for myself. I just haven't found the best authentic Indian food. I'm sure there are many restaurants, especially outside the city, but I tend to cook at home because I enjoy it more. There are a lot of good Asian restaurants that I often go to.

Stressful but great support from the faculty.
Tips: I have lived in New Zealand for a while so I did not experience any feelings of cultural change. However, I do believe that within my field of studies, some races can be less privileged than others. On the positive side, there is a lot of support from teaching staff. On the negative side, the workload can be very stressful, especially near the end of the semester. Also, it is becoming increasingly difficult for immigrants to settle in New Zealand. It was difficult for them to come here, but based on more recent times, it is even more difficult for individuals to come here and build a life.
Likes (Student Life): I usually go to class and then get something to eat. Recently, I went to a student market day which was a lot of fun. There was music playing and the atmosphere was very lively. Even when I'm just on campus there's usually music playing and the atmosphere is always lively. Sometimes I even get free stuff.

A simple university with a diverse range of students and different faculties.
Tips: There wasn't a cultural shift for me. However, some things that are native to New Zealand can be a bit of a shift. The university is a little boring, and the country doesn't have many things to do. On the other hand, the people are very friendly, and it's easy to make friends. The lifestyle is very relaxed.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The University of Auckland has a great building and a nice space to work. The faculty members are very diverse. The teaching includes labs, tutorials, and lectures. Most classes have three lectures per week, an hour or two hours long. Commerce labs are one hour long, and science labs are three hours of practical work. Tutorials are one hour long and are held biweekly.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I'm not sure what the job market was like before the recession, but it's difficult to get an internship these days. Retail stores usually hire people if they have working visas, and sometimes companies offer internships that lead to graduate jobs at "Big 4" companies.

Very limited internship and job opportunities.
Tips: The only thing I would recommend is to practice academic writing and be aware of referencing while completing the assignments. I've seen people being penalized for not citing relevant sources. There are many scholarships available at the University of Auckland but you just have to make sure you put your best foot forward.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian restaurants and takeaways available in the city but to cut down on the expenses, I prefer to cook at home. The amount you'll spend on eating out for one time can be enough to cook for 2 days at home. Some restaurants serve food at lower prices for students as they run promotions and offers to attract students.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are a lot of international students coming to New Zealand, so there are more people than jobs. The University does hire students for roles like Students Hub advisor and international students ambassador, but those roles are highly competitive. The part-time jobs available for international students are usually in hospitality, retail, and small businesses around the city and are paid a minimum wage that is sufficient to manage expenses.

The university provides a fun and eventful environment.
Tips: The university does not provide internships or post-study jobs. The students are sent to find work on their own. The university only helps with CV checks and interview trips. There are not a lot of jobs available at this time, so much so that even part-time jobs are hard to find. A lot of students don't pay attention to other students unless they are in a group project with them. Overall, I am satisfied with my university and course but not satisfied with the country.
Likes (Indian Food): There is a large variety of restaurants and convenience stores. They are either cheap or expensive and are near campus. I prefer to cook myself since it is essentially cheaper and I get to eat what I enjoy. Many people choose to spend money on food and it is more expensive near campus because more students will buy from them so they raise prices.

The university provides good internships and the faculty are talented, respectful and understanding.
Tips: When preparing for a journey that balances work, classes, fun and exploration, it's essential to approach it with a strategic mindset. Students need to ensure that they're well-prepared for each aspect of this journey, starting with a clear plan for managing their responsibilities at work, academic commitments, and personal interests. It's important to stay organised, set realistic goals, and prioritise your task effectively. Securing a scholarship can be challenging, but it's achievable if you meet the eligibility criteria. Attending a top university is a prestigious accomplishment and can be incredibly fulfilling. Being part of such an institution can open doors of opportunities, both academically and professionally.

A bit expensive but good experience.
Tips: Scholarships are tough to get, there aren't enough scholarships for international students. There is a cultural shift for sure. UoA is focused on research so there's a lot of self-study involved compared to the Indian education system. Plus New Zealand has strong cultural roots so good to know about it a little beforehand. The university was good, good course but highly-priced.
Likes (Public transportation): Good connection to university via buses and bike. Plus there's plenty of accommodation around the university so it's east to travel. Public transport isn't the cheapest, students get some discount though. It's easier to purchase your own bike or scooter for better travel experience.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Good chances of getting a permanent residence after your Masters if you land a full-time job. The work visa after Master is for 3 years so most students apply for PR in that time frame. I'd like to permanently immigrate because of the work culture. The pay scale can be better.

Academic brilliance and diversity
Tips: I faced a transition to adapt to a new country's culture and educational system. This transition involved adjusting to a different teaching style, making new friends, and local customs. With time most international students find ways to overcome these challenges.
Likes (Quality of faculty): University faculty is friendly, approachable, and readily available to assist students. They create a welcoming environment for seeking help and guidance in studies and academic matters. They have conducted lectures, discussions, hand-on activities, and technology integration.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are different types of restaurants like casual dinners which cost $10 to $20, cafes cost around 5 to 20 dollars, seafood costs around 20 to 40 dollars. If you are vegetarian or vegan then you should pay 15 to 25 dollars at one-time meal. I generally prefer to cook myself.

A supportive place for both academic and professional growth.
Tips: It is not as easy as it sounds. Someday, you'll be so lonely that you’ll want to fly back home, but that process will strengthen you in the long run. Your suffering will depend on what kind of circle you get. I did not apply for any scholarships. It is pretty decent. Everything seems pretty good here.
Likes (Value for money): The quality of the study is excellent. They don't expect us to memorise long content; instead, they focus on ensuring we understand the concept. I am still not sure whether the fees are justified. I’ll find out when my course ends and if I end up in a decent role.
Dislikes (Part time work): For a small country like New Zealand, you need a lot of connections for a part-time job in your field. It doesn’t matter what you know; it matters who you know. So it is difficult to find a part-time role if you don't have any connections in this country, but it's not impossible. Average payout is 23.5NZD. If you work 20 hours a week, that is more than enough to pay for your bills and food.

New Zealand is a relaxed country with a commendable work-life balance.
Tips: New Zealand is a relaxed country with a commendable work-life balance. I received a scholarship from my supervisor, paying me around $1000 weekly. My university experience was very positive. While NZ is expensive and has strict immigration laws, it's interesting how it presents itself as a large country despite its small size.
Likes (Value for money): Doctoral students are considered domestic students and charged domestic tuition fees. However, New Zealand is an expensive country to live in compared to other European countries, such as Germany and the Netherlands. The cost of living is increasing daily.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The immigration laws are comparatively stricter in New Zealand than in other countries. However, I plan to settle here because it's a peaceful and beautiful country, and I love living here as a permanent resident.

Friendly people, fun learning and finding my way.
Tips: The culture here, in comparison to the Indian education system, is pretty laid back. Everyone is respectful and friendly to everyone else. The expectation from students here is fairly basic. Academic integrity and timely-submissions. I did not avail myself of any scholarships. I am very satisfied with my university, course and country. Auckland as a place to live in is absolutely perfect.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty in my department is very approachable and they are passionate about the subjects that they teach. They are genuinely interested in helping the students academically. Most of the teaching that I have experienced here has been interactive. The professor and the class engage in very useful, intense and interesting conversations and discussions with regard to the subjects. The faculty is as diverse as it can be in terms of nationality.
Dislikes (Part time work): Most part-time jobs on campus are already taken, and we need to figure out on our own as to how to look for part-time jobs, where to look, how to apply etc. The jobs outside campus requires retail experience, which most Indians do not have, so it makes it slightly difficult. Academics, specifically LLM, are not very time-consuming, so managing part-time jobs with academics is not really a problem. Most available part-time jobs pay minimum wage only, which honestly is just enough for everything you need and a little bit of leisure as well.

Great university and highly qualified faculty.
Tips: I would recommend coming to the University well prepared. Before joining the university, make sure you have all of your necessities and make an effort to make new friends on campus as soon as you can. You will want to know as many people as possible to be able to ask for help with anything you might not understand. Seniors are particularly helpful in this regard because they have all of the knowledge you will need, and they are willing to teach it to you. Of course, the most important thing to do is to reach out. Asking for help will always be more helpful than trying to figure things out on your own.
Dislikes (Part time work): I really enjoy the way the faculty teaches the subject. They give assignments, which helps students feel like they are on the right track. There are a lot of first-timers or students who are coming from different cities, places, or even countries, and I think it’s difficult to figure out what’s happening. I’m grateful for the faculty being so helpful.

An amazing yet stressful college life.
Tips: Apply for scholarships. There may be scholarships that can help you with the cost of your education. Apply for an allowance. This is money that you can use for your tuition fees and other educational expenses. Create a degree plan before joining the university. This will help you stay on track for graduation. Figure out what kind of job you’ll be applying for and where. There are many job opportunities in Auckland. If you come from a less privileged background, you might want to find some contacts in the area and stay with them while you search for a job and find a place to live.
Likes (Safety): I'm quite pleased with the university's general safety. Like any other city, there can be a little rowdiness during nightlife, but that is normal. In general, I find New Zealand to be a very safe place to live. However, it's important to be careful during public holidays, when there are drunk students and other people out, as they can be dangerous if you are not careful.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As a vegetarian, I don’t have many options on campus. There’s Pita Pit and some burger places, but that’s it. Food in the city is also expensive. Unfortunately, even the limited vegetarian options are not always good, and I sometimes don’t like the taste.

Likes (Value for money): The university's reputation is one of the best across the globe. One cannot justify tuition because it is a perception, not an exact justification. But yes, the teaching and faculty expertise in their subject is excellent. You will get a friendly atmosphere.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The University of Auckland is well-connected with public transportation, and there are a variety of transportation options, including trains and buses. However, public transportation is somewhat costly for international students.

Tips: I’ve done undergrad in the UK and now master's in New Zealand. I’m pretty comfortable with the cultural shift but one does tend to feel when you shift to a new place. Becomes better eventually. No scholarships are availed. Pretty satisfied, the course is intense but manageable
Likes (Indian Food): All kinds of restaurants/cuisines are available since there is a large Asian diaspora here. Prices range from 15-20 for an average-sized meal. Cooking myself is the best option as it economically better. Eating outside is not sustainable after a point.
Dislikes (Internships): There are a lot of resources/career support from the university regarding this. A lot of career fairs are there as well. There are relevant internships for my programs however since I have work ex, I’m not looking for that but instead, graduate roles can be a good starting point.
