Try to opt for a public university.
Tips: There are multiple things one has to go through when they migrate, definitely it tests you academically and professionally too but the biggest challenge is the cultural shift, finding accommodation and managing relations at work and at the shared housing is a difficult thing to do. University was good and provided some amount of comfort & was provided a merit based scholarship.
Likes (Indian Food): Vancouver has a lot of Indian restaurants and also tiffin services. Although eating out every day is not affordable but knowing that we can find the taste that pleases us in the close vicinity brings some sort of comfort. The tiffin services provide fresh indian meals for the whole day.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fee increases every quarter. Students should prefer a public university at this price point. The fees not only become a barrier but also create frustration in the mind of student because they are not provided with the kind of infrastructure they deserve after paying such a hefty amount.

It is the way you look at it. If you want to just study well or be just well to study.
Tips: Just be prepared that everything is going to be different from what we have seen in India. Be open to learning anything and leave the attitude we have in India despite being from a Rich or Poor family. Start to learn and explore according to your life goal. Check with the university and the agents how the scholarship works. If you have managerial experience, please work on it and not get enrolled on a foundation course.
Likes (Public transportation): You just need to get the hang of the location where you and the University are. You will find multiple options and can travel around easily. We have accessible sky trains, and buses everywhere. A bit of walking is needed though. Check with people around you if there are easy ways to reach your destination in less time.
Dislikes (Value for money): We need to be more understanding of how the courses we selected or were opted for, this can save a lot of money. We need to take multiple opinions before we opt for any course. Also, the comparison has to be done from one University to the other. You should be confident enough to avail as many offers or scholarships as we can.

Stressful and helpful. Students can face a hard time financia as courses are expensive
Tips: Courses are expensive so accumulating fees for each semester can be difficult. All this needs to be planned early so this is not a last-minute stress factor for students coming to Canada. Finding jobs can also be difficult. These are the things students should know before joining.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very helpful and welcoming faculty. Maintain a good rapport with the faculty members as they are very helpful towards the students. Faculty members are considering and willing to help as long as they see you put in effort. This is why I have rated 5 for faculty.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Cut-off scores in Canada can be a huge headache and the process can be really tiring and exhausting despite the time money and efforts we international students have put in. This can be a very stressful process. This is why I have rated 3 on permanent residency immigration or settlement options.

One will experience diversity in culture.
Tips: There wasn't any cultural shift to be honest. But there is a lot of diversity in this University and all the students respect and value every culture around. The atmosphere is really productive. I availed 6k CAD as scholarship on the basis of my Bachelor's result. I am very satisfied with my University.
Likes (Student Life): There are lot of events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities for students to take part in. The unique trait of this university is that it actually give attention to each and every student to help them flourish. They also celebrate festivals across the region to help students learn about and celebrate various cultures around the globe.
Dislikes (Internships): Very strict guidelines to be able to get one. Moreover, getting an internship in the respective field of study is hard in general. Furthermore, there is fierce competition in the market as one has to compete with elite universities in the same province, such as UBC, SFU, and BCIT.

I like my college very much as there are so much things on campus to do if we get bored
Tips: Since I moved to Canada, there has been a lot of change in my life as I started making new friends. In India, we speak in our local language but in Canada, I have to only speak in English which made me more fluent.
I thought there would be a cultural difference but the day before yesterday only our college threw a Diwali party for the students which made us like we were in our own country. I got scholarship on a merit and on IELTS basis which was 45% of the total course fees. I am pretty much satisfied with the university and the teachers and the managing staff are quite helpful to the students coming from India especially.
Dislikes (Safety): There are shuttle services which students can apply by their university identity card to opt for a discount on monthly passes.
Safety wise Vancouver is pretty much safe.
There are discounts on grocery stores and in Target they have a scheme for the students like 15-20 percent off on the college goodies.

Overall it is a good experience to study in University Canada West
Tips: I would say that one student should understand the requirements of the subject which students have chosen. Because there is a lot of difference in the structure of the study. Please pay close attention to the assignment for eg plagiarism APA etc. For scholarships, students have to maintain 72% or 3 CGPA grades in order to be eligible.
Dislikes (Internships): I have not heard of any internship programs at the university. I got to know from my seniors that only selected students get the chance for internships. Only those who have outstanding scores throughout the course.

One of the best reputed colleges in British Columbia.
Tips: The college has a very good curriculum. They are very focused on what the students need after completing their Masters. Anyone new joining the college should focus on selecting the correct professor as this is very important.
They have very good scholarship programs which help students.
Likes (Indian Food): We have many Indian food options in Vancouver city. There are many Indian stores where we can get Indian groceries easily. Many are worried about the utensils, but we get all Indian utensils here so people should not be worried about it. It's available very easily.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are a lot of opportunities in Canada but they all require a lot of references, which is difficult to find. Another difficulty is that we come from different countries so our resumes are not as per Canadian job market requirements. Lastly, in consideration of our PR, they do not consider our past experiences.

UCW: Home away from home experience
Tips: The placement rate at UCW is quite high, I've had the experience to meet and greet with some of the UCW alumni of Indian origin at the time of our orientation, some of whom were placed with PwC and Amazon and for them, the university couldn't have been any better. Be it the quality of faculty or the rapport of university in the Canadian corporate, the university has it all. And how can one forget about academic scholarships, there are plentiful of them! You can even get a single entrant award if you can prove to be good. Also, the Indian community here is very welcoming and Indian festivals are celebrated with joy and fervor. It'll be a home away from home experience for you!

My university is very good and the professors are also great and helpful.
Tips: The fee is a little bit higher compared to other colleges. But the
university is very good and the environment is very friendly. There are many Indians who are studying at this university. Moreover, it is famous for MBA courses. There are three main buildings on the university campus.
Likes (Part time work): There are many people from different parts of the world. The environment is friendly. The professors are very good and understanding. The majority of students in classes are Indians. Every semester many new students come to study at this university.

A very diverse university with ample amount of opportunities and great people.
Tips: The transition was quite smooth, you have to make sure to find the right friends because that will either make or break your university experience. I received an entrance scholarship based on my high school marks and there are a few scholarships for continuing students too. I'm pretty satisfied with the university, course and the country so far.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): There is a high chance for me to get a PR if I choose to stay in the same province that I am currently in. But that's not what I plan on doing as the opportunities for jobs and positions are not exactly what I want. I would love to stay in this country but only if I could find the job titles or a business which excites me.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Full- time jobs in the Tech field are not much as it is a smaller city. All of the companies that offer you a full-time job sponsor visas. Even if you don't get a full-time job right after graduation, I've seen people apply for PR while working in a retail position. Job roles and salary packages are subjective and depend on various factors like Experience and Skillset.

Value for money and academically oriented.
Tips: I am very satisfied with the university, the facilities and everything are top-notch, they frequently have internships and coop sessions with employers like Irving, RBC etc. Throughout the year, so in terms of that university is good. It's a bit more academically oriented, so studies and course loads could be a bit stressful, please apply for scholarships, the deadline is April end, they give around 1000 CAD to almost every student, so you can save.
Likes (Part time work): Options for on-campus jobs are really limited and are very competitive, but off-campus jobs are relatively easier to find. You just have to grind your way through, the first week after you land here is the most the toughest for you because you are still learning and getting to know about the city, but you have to keep applying online along with doing walk-ins in the stores for jobs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food options are really limited if you are from India, there's only 2-3 indian restaurants in the whole city, and are very expensive. We also have tiffin services in the city but they are expensive too, students just tend to cook on their own, so be prepared, learn cooking before you come here, it's a basic survival skill.

Feels like home. Very calm and peaceful
Tips: Super chill and easygoing. Do not get academic misconduct. Satisfied with the course. Not very technical but it's good. Faculty members are understanding and internship placements are good as well. Post-degree job prospects are good too. Tons of immigration options.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): A lot of immigrantion programs in Atlantic canada. Close to 100% success rates. Does not take a long time to get settled here. Great country, peace of mind and quality lifestyle are witnessed. A bit expensive and harsh on the climate but it is manageable provided you have a decent job and can get acclimatized to the cold weather.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Less Indian restaurants but there are plenty of grocery items available. Lots of Indian snacks, frozen dinners etc. are available and giants like Walmart, Atlantic super store, Sobeys etc. No need to pack up a lot of Indian food while coming here. Learn to cook basic food. May be problematic for vegetarians. Food is expensive so budget according.

it is very peculiar despite being a good university.
Tips: The first year here is a culling game, as it is a sink-or-swim situation. If you pass the first year, you should be alright for the rest, as long as you maintain and keep working on your self-discipline. Attend help sessions and make study groups to avoid burnout and try engaging with different other activities or clubs.
