Master of Science in Embedded Systems Design - Batch of 2023

My experiences at the uni
Tips: It's a 90-credit master's degree, and you can't do a Ph.D. with this master's degree. It is better to get some knowledge about the courses before joining the course. Focus on language (German) that makes a difference while applying for jobs. You might get a scholarship from DAAD, and I got one for about 600 euro (one time). There is one department in the university that will handle this stuff, and I guess it's only for international students; sadly, I don't remember the wing name. I am quite satisfied with the course and job currently I am doing. Of course taxes are here high, but you will get some real benefits as well from the government.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It's easy to get permanent residence once you've got a job. This course is good enough to get a job, especially in the FPGA domain. The course gives necessary knowledge to get a job if you are focused. The staff are friendly, and they will guide you to get jobs as well.
Dislikes (Indian Food): It's difficult to find the Indian food over there. But you can find the necessary goods to prepare yourself. Of course you can find different kinds of German food here, which is also nice once you get used to it. I don't have much to say here, other than that.

My college is on sea side with perfect view for studies and enjoyment
Tips: Student should be ready for hussle, ofcourse we will find cultural shock after coming here I tried for scholarship but couldn't get it also as I am studying in public university we don't have time pay much fee I am fully satisfied with university, course and country.
Likes (Public transportation): Here connectivity is quite good; you can find a bus every 10 minutes; we don't have to wait for a long time. Overall, as a student, the university provides us with a semester ticket, which is called the Deutschland Ticket, with which we can travel throughout Germany free of cost.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Here we can find some Indian restaurants, but the taste is not that good, and also the cost is not justified. I like to prepare my own food instead of going outside because you can get the same taste in restaurants as it is prepared on the basis of native people's.

Strong Academic Experience with Practical Learning and Complex Challenges
Tips: Before joining, students should be prepared for a different academic style and lifestyle. The teaching here depends more on self-learning, practical projects and self-discipline than on memorization. It can be challenging to manage studies and part-time work together. Some cultural changes would, of course, be there, for instance, communication, food, and daily routine, but they can be adaptable over time. For scholarships in Germany, I don't have much idea. But education here is totally free; you just need to pay around 300-400 euros per semester, which is quite good, because it also includes transportation tickets and all. Overall, I am satisfied with my studies and the university as well. The facilities are too good here in Germany. My advice for future students is to improve your German language; it will surely benefit you in the future.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Bremerhaven is honestly great, mostly because the campus is so small and right by the harbor, giving it a really tight-knit, welcoming vibe. It’s not one of those massive universities where you feel lost; you’re constantly running into classmates, working on group projects in the labs, and hanging out after lectures. The International Office puts together some solid mixer events and cultural nights, which are perfect for meeting people from all over the world, and I try to head to those whenever I have a gap in my schedule. As someone who loves staying active, the university sports (Hochschulsport) setup is easily one of my favorite parts of being here. Joining the campus sports leagues and regular games has been the absolute best way to blow off steam after a rough week of classes and connect with other students outside the classroom.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking myself rather than eating out. Restaurants serve Indian cuisine, but they can be expensive for students. The local food is good, but it's quite different from Indian food; also, the options are limited for a vegetarian. Sometimes, I eat at the university canteen. It's really good and affordable for students.

The Deuschland Stupedium scholarship is available to freshman students.
Tips: The university is very comfortable and friendly. The Deuschland Stupedium scholarship is available to freshman students. These students receive 300 euros per month throughout their studies.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): In Bremen state, Germany, permanent immigration is both easy to get and also happens faster than elsewhere. Appointments are easy to get, and the process itself is very easy and fast. This all means you get more chances to get permanent immigration.
Dislikes (Value for money): It is a public university, so we have to pay only 350 per semester as a semester fee. Also included in this 350, the semester fee covered transportation to a specific region in northern Germany. The semester fee used to cover many regions in northern Germany, including Hamburg and Hanover. Now, transportation in these regions is free due to the German Deutschland ticket, and so our semester fees are now used as the student Deutschland ticket.

Learning new things in college and city each day.
Tips: Students should have industrial experience of at least a year before joining the university. Learn the German language as it is very important. Always be patient, as life here will test your patience. Be hardworking and keep trying for the new things like getting job, classes and opportunities to learn new things.
Likes (Indian Food): The college day is spent according to the schedule of lectures, practical work in the college, and spending time with professionals, students, colleagues, and professors. Cultural events, sports events, and festivals are being celebrated, and I participate in all of them.
Dislikes (Student Life): The faculty in my department is accessible and approachable. For anything I need from a professor related to the studies or other things, I just need to send an email. The email and the communications that occur during lectures keep me informed and on track with the course.

Everything new but still feels old.
Tips: You should learn German as it will help a lot because of the culture and way of life. For the bank for super market for registration office, it will be easy if you speak German else you need to wait for their English staff. They are friendly in nature but still it's best.
