History
In 1971, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences was established. But, the predecessor of this university goes back to 1908 when Königliche Baugewerkschule was founded and in 1910, the Royal College of Mechanical Engineering was founded. When this university was established its name was the Fachhochschule Frankfurt Am Main and it was re-named to Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in 2014. In the year 2001, the university comprised of 13 departments.
