Analyse before you take course
Tips: Analyse the scope of the course and gain some experience in India before moving, like Internship, project work, upskill based on the course. Check for scholarships, learn basic emotional and time management Develop communication and articulation skills.
Likes (Safety): Safety for students inside campus are really good, the Garda (police) will always help students, and SoS is available inside the campus. Racism is not encouraged on campus. Multinational students are welcomed with good hospitality around campus, all festivals are celebrated widely.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Job openings are fewer in my field, before students moving its better to have some internship or any professional experience in that field. Once got a permanent job, I would like to settle in this country. Prepare before anyone comes here to study, part-time work is a little difficult while studying.

Genuine Review for university of Limerick
Tips: Before joining this university, you must know that it's not similar to the typical study system we have been used to in India; here, equal weightage has been given to group work and presentations. If you have some time left before coming to Ireland, work on your overall communication delivery skills, like how to give an elevator pitch; it would help a lot. Ireland's culture is much friendlier, so adapting won't be a problem. Overall satisfaction is about 80%.
Likes (Internships): I chose 4 for internships because many of my friends got internships here, my part-time job is also a desk one where I have to deal with financial data, so Limerick has opportunities for part-time and internships; however, for full-time sponsored jobs, no
Dislikes (Safety): The University of Limerick campus is mostly safe, however, if you go outside campus, especially in places like Thomond Row, Limerick City Bridge side; then it's after 8 pm, it's not safe because at that time drunkard's hangout, so unsafe; but definitely not a reason to not choose Limerick, as this can be avoided by staying aware.

Utilize this journey to the fullest
Tips: Explore the clubs and participate. Talk to the professors and start applying for jobs as early as possible. Everyone in my class received a scholarship of 2000 euros. This was a general scholarship available when enrolling at the university. The country is costly. Rooms are difficult to get for rent. There is no direct flight from India to Ireland.
Likes (Safety): Irish people and campus staff are helpful and friendly. Security personnel are patrolling the grounds regularly around the campus. There are CCTVs installed as well. The city is good compared to Dublin, but small as well. There are a lot of nature walking tracks on campus and around the city. The campus is green and quite big.
Dislikes (Internships): The job market is very competitive worldwide, including here in Ireland, in the field of Computers. It's a small country that cannot accommodate such a large influx of talented students at once! The market seems saturated here in Ireland. Also, HR seems very conscious about hiring international students because of future sponsorship.

Best Year of My Life( Got to expereince everything)
Tips: Be prepared to put in effort and don't get distracted from your goal, but that being said, do not hesitate to put in time for club activities and getting to know people. You might have to struggle for part times, but it will be okay. I'm going to blabber here because I can't type more
Likes (Public transportation): Good connectivity. Bus stop in college itself. You need to have a travel card here, they call it a leap card. for a student the price is very low, but you can download app as well and download the ticket from there. But the first thing you got to do is get a leap card otherwise travel becomes a headache.
Dislikes (Internships): Very rare to find internships. If you have job exp then well and good but at least 3-4 yrs would be a bare min with good portfolio. Good communication skills. But even with all these things, it's very difficult to land an internship here in Ireland, so good luck with that.

My life in a home away from home
Tips: There is a bit of a cultural shift, but that is the case when you are going abroad to study; other than that, it is a good experience. I did not avail myself of any scholarships, but it was still easy to get going with my studies. In all regards, I am very satisfied with my experience at UL.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty gets a high rating because the professors at UL are genuinely approachable and down-to-earth. You can drop into their office hours or drop them an email without feeling like a burden. On top of that, they bring in guest lecturers who actually work in the industry, which gives you real-world context instead of just textbook theory. Having supportive tutors and industry-active speakers makes a huge difference in how much you actually take away from the course.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The city is filled with all kinds of delicacies. I am a fan of trying foods from all over the globe, and Limerick did not disappoint, but Indian food is mostly available in a few spots around town, and it is different from your home food. I prefer to cook my own meals, but during classes you do not always have the time, which leads to me eating at the various restaurants on campus.

Fun, student friendly and sport oriented university.
Tips: It’s a big campus; be ready to walk. The campus is beautiful, though, and has a lot of activities to do on campus. Make sure to join a lot of clubs and societies. The university staff is supportive and friendly; staying on campus is recommended. There are a lot of food places on campus as well.
Likes (Value for money): Giving UL top marks for value for money comes down to how much further your euro stretches here compared to Dublin. While housing across Ireland is competitive, rent in Limerick—especially around Castletroy, Plassey, or Milford—is significantly more reasonable than Dublin's crazy prices. You aren't burning through your entire monthly budget just to keep a roof over your head, which leaves actual breathing room for groceries and social life.
Getting around is super straightforward too. You don't need a car because public transport connects the campus right to the city center. Bus routes like the 304 and 304A pick up directly from the Stables bus stop on campus, and tapping with a TFI Student Leap Card drops the fare down to less than a euro per ride. Between lower living costs and cheap, frequent transit into town, living in Limerick makes managing a student budget way less stressful.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is a tech park in Shannon with loads of companies sponsoring visas but it is difficult to get interviews. Keep trying, and you will definitely get something. Try to get as much as possible from clubs and societies, as it will be counted towards your CV.

Tips: Yes, definitely, but I feel adapting to culture is really easy as well. Also, in terms of scholarships, I was awarded a scholarship based on my bachelor's marks and performance. Overall, I am very satisfied with the university, course, and country.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Approaching faculty in my department is easy and very good; they respond to the queries very fast, and also they are very friendly as well. In terms of diversity, the faculty here are pretty good; there are people from different nationalities, which makes it better for upcoming students.
Dislikes (Internships): The guidance is good but not up to the mark, and according to internships for bachelor's students, it's pretty good, and the opportunities are really good as well because you will get a chance to work with Big Four companies and get good exposure as well.

The university had a really strong sporting culture and a welcoming student community.
Tips: Only serious students who want to be involved in the sports industry should consider joining this course, as the course duration is very demanding and can take some time to get used to. The classes are very dynamic and open, focusing more on interactions and new ideas, slightly different from Asia.
I was really happy with my time in Ireland, specifically in Limerick. If I get a chance to go back to Ireland, I would definitely go back.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The restaurants around the university were diverse, offering options from all over the world; however, they didn't specifically have food from my country.
Also, I liked to cook for myself, which made my life a little easier and helped me control expenses.

Tips: Honestly, the teaching quality at the University of Limerick is pretty average—nothing mind-blowing, just your standard lectures. And while UL is famous for its undergraduate Co-Op placements, don't expect the university to just hand you a full-time graduate job on a silver platter when you finish. The reality is that once you're approaching graduation, you're pretty much on your own to secure a permanent role.
Navigating the job market in Ireland right now takes a massive amount of personal hustle. If you want to actually land a decent corporate role, you have to spend your own time relentlessly networking on LinkedIn, hitting up the campus career fairs, and blasting out independent applications. Anyone planning to come to UL needs to be a self-starter from day one, because building a real career here relies entirely on your own initiative.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty here are very good & helpful They are knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive throughout the course. They are willing to help students with academic queries and assignments. The teaching methodologies include practical case studies and group projects.
Dislikes (Internships): University doesn't provide any internships. You are on your own there is limited or no source for finding internships or jobs. Students are largely expected to search and apply independent. There should be adequate support for the students finding internships.

Not worth the high out of state tuition
Tips: There will be many cultural changes that you’ll observe initially, and you'll get adapted to them gradually as well. The university does give out scholarships based on your marks, but they’re also first-come, first-served. So honestly, you need to apply as early as possible before the funding runs out. I’m satisfied with the country and course, but as an international student, I would still say it’s expensive and not worth it for a job market without prior experience of at least 2 years minimum.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty are always available, and the way they teach is amazing; they are very diverse in nationalities and provide good guidance across the course period. It’s hands-on with labs and physical and real-world demonstrations, with wide range of facilities available, such as a library.
Dislikes (Internships): For a master's degree, you have to look out for opportunities around in your field; however, the university conducts career fairs and networking events, also based on location, as a nearby tech park would have ample opportunities available around in the city. Being a master's student, you always have to proactively be looking for opportunities since the beginning of the course.

There is no placement support for MSc in Business Analytics.
Tips: There was a huge cultural shift here. Initially I was finding it difficult here to get accommodated but if you get the right people around you feel at home. I did not avail any scholarship but there are people who were offered scholarships it was based on their previous academics.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is available with a frequency of 10 minutes from morning to evening to the city centre. Also to other cities from my city with a frequency of 1 hour. Public transport for students is at a discounted price here when compared to the normal prices.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is no placement support for the course I have done and most of the courses are the same, although you get a Masters degree in a year it is very difficult to get a job in your domain. There are career fair taken place on the campus, but they would be mostly for the undergraduate students.

Tips: As an international student the transition was smooth. UL has a welcoming multicultural environment and supportive International Office. Ireland's friendly culture made settling pretty easy. I didn't avail any scholarships but options like the Global Excellence Scholarship are available for eligible students though competition is fierce. I'm very satisfied with my course, the campus facilities and living in Ireland in general.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is well connected to Limerick City via bus Eireann routes which is a reliable bus company here with buses running frequently throughout the day. A student Leap card makes it affordable at around 0.65 cent per trip. Bus is the main mode of transportation along with taxi. Getting around is easy and budget-friendly by bus for students.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus jobs like teaching assistants and ambassador roles exist but are limited and competitive. Off- campus, there's plenty of retail, hospitality roles in Castleroy, Limerick, the place where I live currently. I have worked part time at JD Sports Ireland. Most employers are flexible and pay is around 14.20 euros. Balancing work with academics is manageable if you plan around exam periods and heavy coursework weeks.

Tips: Students must research about course structure, modules under the course, living costs, transportation, cultural aspects, accommodation, and the job market for the particular field. Likes (Value for money): High quality of education, affordable living compared to other countries, post graduation opportunities and many student facilities. Most of the universities provide a good amount of scholarship to every student. It is comparatively lower than many other countries, where you have a 2 years Masters degree.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland offers clear pathways for skilled workers especially in healthcare, tech and engineering but the competition is high so the process might be slow. If you have a job in the demanded field, the chances for permanent settlement are much higher.

Vibrant campus and peers.
Tips: UL is student-centric and is one of the biggest campuses in Ireland. There are a lot of opportunities to meet people from different courses, and it makes your time there valuable and wisely spent. Everyone on campus is welcoming and I haven't faced any racism or discrimination during my stay there. I didn't avail any scholarship.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All the faculty are Ph.D. holders and have very deep knowledge in their subjects. They are very approachable and provide suggestion to our career path. Each faculty has its own methods of teaching, and most of the courses are a mix of theory and lab sessions.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting an on-campus part-time job as a lab assistant is very difficult, and off-campus opportunities as a student is also very limited. Part-time pay is the basic salary decided by the government. Students are allowed to work max 20 hours during the student term.

Tips: College is very good. No stress, it's just about full time jobs after college. If someone has more than 3-4 years of experience, this country is very good. But if you are a graduate (fresher), then please think twice before coming here.
Likes (Student Life): I feel everything is good as students, we will get part time jobs easily and the accommodation part is sorted. And the college culture and staff are supportive. We never need to worry about assignments because you will easily do that with little effort.
Dislikes (Internships): I have observed in the last 3 years that I have not seen students who have pursued Masters and got internship opportunities. So for graduates student who don't have industry experience, the internship and job opportunities are very limited. So internship wise its not the best country itself.

Tips: Look for the right course and look for the opportunities after the course near the town. Look for the accommodation and also the overall staying cost over there. The University of Limerick offers scholarships and also government of Ireland also offers scholarships.
Likes (Internships): UL has a good staff and clubs for internship opportunities and the needed environment for the same. The available internships and graduation roles are pretty much relevant, as they have an entrepreneurial club, a student centre and also a post gradual student union.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is a pretty good number of companies that offer a sponsor visa, like the Big 4, which are present here and also other UK based tech giants are present here; there are good probabilities for visa sponsorship. Tips: Students should research the course, grading system, living cost and part time opportunities before joining as this helps ease the transition. Likes (Student Life): It was a really good experience you can get while studying. University life is full of learning; every day, there was something new and exciting.
Every week, there were different events and different clubs organised these events. I was a part of the badminton club.

On campus part-time jobs are very limited.
Tips: I want the Indian students to know that be prepared to see a lot of Indian students on the campus. Many students will feel comfortable when you know that the people you can talk to in your native language will be there. The University does provide some scholarships during the admission process itself. I got a 10% scholarship. I am extremely happy with the University, my course and the beautiful country of Ireland. But beaware of job scarcity. Graduation jobs are very hard to get. People with 5+ years of experience will have it easy, but it may be hard for fresh graduates or with 1-2 years of experience. It's not impossible, but very hard. You may face a lot of job rejections initially.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian stores, where you can find most of the food ingredients or food products from India. This is a relief to many Indian students present in University of Limerick. I prefer cooking for myself rather than buying food outside every day. There are also ready made food options like frozen parathas, pizzas and garlic naan, which need a little bit of cooking in the oven and are ready to eat.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part-time jobs are very limited. Getting them is difficult. Offcampus part time opportunities are present. Part time work can be hard to manage along with academics as the academics are rigorous. But careful time management can make it happen. The average payout is the minimum wage, which is 14.5 EUR as of 2026.

Very nice professors, helpful study environment and lots of resources
Tips: Get involved with the university's events and cultural fest. Always look out for opportunities; many are available for students. Extra help for international students. I am satisfied with everything learned and developed a lot in the last three years. Professionally and personally, I have grown as a person.
Likes (Indian Food): There are all types of restaurants available, especially Indian food; pretty good options in Leeds. Also not extremely expensive. I preferred cooking myself; easy Indian groceries are available as well. You can get good North Indian cheap prices from Anand Sweets. South Indian options as well. Other different options as well.

College is really good but you shouldn’t do MBA from here.
Tips: You will most definitely transform, in terms of your behaviour and personality, you will be much more cautious in spending money and time. You will become a calmer version of yourself than before. I am quite satisfied with the outcome; whatever I had expected out of me, I have achieved it.
Likes (Part time work): There is a major availability of part time jobs on and off the campus, but the catch is that you will have to network more and more to make connections to secure jobs. Part time work is quite manageable if you don't mess around. The average pay is around 800-1000 monthly.
Dislikes (Internships): There is availability of internships but you probably actively have to search for each and everything. Regarding guidance, your programme mentor might help but is not bound to depend but as a university, they do not provide first hand services for getting internships.

Tips: People on campus are friendly. Finding part-time jobs might be hard as Leeds is a student hub. Of course, there are cultural differences when moving to another continent, but nothing too hard that one can't get accustomed to in the first one or two months. I did get a scholarship based on my grade for international students.
Likes (Safety): The city is safe, the campus is mostly safe and guarded. There is a shuttle bus from City campus to Headingley campus and vice versa on designated times, so if you plan your day around it, you don't really have to depend on public transportation and can save quite a good amount of money.
Dislikes (Internships): Unlike most Indian universities, Leeds Beckett does not offer any specific placement programs. Instead, it facilitates the job-hunting process. Internships can be hard to secure, and your skills and talent play a primary role in securing them. You have a lot of occasions and events to make connections. Networking at these events can help you meet potential employers.

The process of applying for a visa to work is expensive.
Tips: I have become more independent and have made friends across all nationalities. The simpler part of Leeds is its friendly crowd and social culture that makes it easy for making friends. The university is in the city centre, which makes it very accessible. The Leeds City Bus Services are a convenient way to get around, and the train and bus stations are both within two miles’ distance of the university. Using your student pass to purchase tickets makes bus travel affordable, and having a rail card gives you discounts on travel between cities. I did not avail of any scholarships as I come from an Indian university tie-up programme. I am quite satisfied with my university and the UK in general.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I'm not interested in settling down in the UK. The process of applying for a visa to work is expensive, and it is hard to guarantee that there is a job waiting for me. People who have sponsorship roles can make the process more affordable. However, for most others, it is expensive. My goal was to finish my MBA and start up a company in India. Putting deliberate thought and effort into your job search will help land you a job in the UK.

Tips: Students should know that the university has two campuses, the city campus and the Headingley campus. Scholarships are available at both campuses and they range up to 3000 pounds. Dislikes (Post study jobs): I have attended so many job fairs but haven't gotten in yet. And most of the companies that offer jobs are non-relevant to sports. I have only worked in part-time jobs while studying in this university, full time jobs are really hard to get and sponsorship too.

College is amazing and specially the international student environment.
Tips: They give international scholarships to every international student so get it before paying any fees, and many more scholarships are available, you can find them on their official website. I have two scholarships one is international and is a Btec level 7 Master.
Likes (Value for money): I got two scholarships from the college, so I only had to pay 9555 pounds a year for my MBA. In India, you have to pay more than 10 lakhs for an MBA, so getting an international degree at Leeds Beckett was a good value for money.
Dislikes (Internships): It is easy to find an internship anywhere, but you should first decide which college you want to study at. After that, you need to research the college because every field has different colleges. Leeds Beckett College is the best college for everyone because its QS ranking is good. However, the college does not provide internships, so you will have to find one on your own.

Tips: Before you join the university, choose your course first, which should be related to your previous course. Once you join the university, make sure you focus on your assignments before the class and try to become a global ambassador role. Also, try to engage with international students to gain your knowledge. The establishment of high standards and maintained compliance with all regulatory safety guidelines from sanitation to staff training and the environment is well maintained. Staff may be trained in safety protocols, displaying responsiveness in addressing any safety concerns or unique.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I was disappointed with the university's job placement services. I did not feel they provided enough opportunities for me to find a job in my field of study. As a result, I did not get the job I wanted and had to take a job in another field.

Experience beyond your thinking
Tips: My confidence has increased after studying and interacting with different cross-cultural students and faculty members at the University. I think almost everyone who got good grades in high school or Bachelor got a reasonable scholarship from this university. My satisfaction is above average with regard to the University course and country.
Likes (Safety): If you live in the main city center, then you have to pay more but there are no safety issues apart from the other areas such as Hyde Park, Harehills, and Bradford which are not so safe for anyone. I live nearby Headingley Stadium which is one of the safest places in Leeds.
Dislikes (Value for money): MBA, if I did it in India from one of the top colleges or even above-average colleges, it would cost me around 15 Lacs or more. Over here, my fee was 12.5 Lacs which was way better than Indian colleges and the exposure you get was an exceptional one. After completing your course, you can repay your education loan without any delay which is not easy in India.

Likes (Part time work): University offers many part time roles in university and even some full time roles for student with sponsorship and yes they help in getting part time jobs off campus also. You can easily manage your part time work along with your studies and you will pe paid according to minimum wages declared by government.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because you will get only 2 year post study work permit after completing your studies other options are available like sponsorship from any organisation but university will not help you in getting these options you have to look for them by yourself only.

Tips: Students coming here should know how to prepare for the exams. And it is also important to know how to behave in class because a lot of international students are there from different countries. Go for it, it’s a great experience!
Tips: Students should be open to communication with people from all backgrounds and not be stuck in their comfort zone while being here. And most importantly plan their move months in advance and not make it an impulsive decision. It takes a while to get used to so don't expect to seamlessly assimilate here.
Likes (Value for money): The cost of the course is a bit higher than most undergraduate courses. But the return on investment is generally higher for MBA courses. I also got a scholarship which made my life a bit easier given that studying abroad can become very expensive especially when you don't have time to work.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Leeds has not many transportation options, as there is no tram line like Manchester and Ubers can be expensive. The bus prices are increasing very frequently and the train station is only in the city centre and Burley and you may have to walk quite a bit for it.

Tips: I got a scholarship of 32000. There is a cultural shift because UK is not our home country. Don't expect that you will land a job immediately after Masters. You should have prior knowledge of your field before Masters. Minimum professional experience is mandatory.
Likes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are just for name sake, as it is less than 20%. Off-campus opportunities are average, good to have your own vehicle for work so that you can opt for warehouse jobs. 20 hours a week is manageable without getting our studies hampered. Payout on NI job is about 310 on average.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food outside is the worst. You won't be able to get South Indian options, and not worth the price at all. I always prefer cooking at home. A lot of Pakistanis sell food in the name of Indian food. Indian grocery is limited and expensive. Other region food options are good.
