MSc in Global Business Management - Batch of 2023
3.7
Student life with strong international exposure.
Tips: So, I didn't feel a cultural shift as I adapted quickly, but many do, and it's common. Yes, there are early bird scholarships, etc. Yes, I'm satisfied with the course, country, and university, and also I will tell them to make as many connections as possible because, at last, what works are your connections. Also, it's good to enjoy the place in the UK, as it's one of the most beautiful places.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is very well connected and established. You can say that London has one of the best public transport systems worldwide. There is a network of trains, buses, underground, and overground railways that connects every part of London. The public transport here is convenient but also expensive.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated 2 stars because employers are willing to hire, but they are hesitant to hire international students because the UK Home Office has increased the cost of doing so. They are seeking non-international students, and when they do hire international students, they only hire experienced professionals. It's very difficult for fresh graduates to find jobs here, which is why I have rated post-study opportunities two stars.

A good experience overall
Tips: I have not had much cultural shift because the reason might be I always stay with my Indian friends and I explore much here in the UK. I got a scholarship as I applied through a consultancy for 4000 pounds. The university is good with experienced faculty and a lively atmosphere. I have not experienced any racism of any kind. So, overall I had a positive experience with my university.

MBA in Healthcare Management - Batch of 2026
2.7
Average university and student life.
Tips: Well, all students over here are Indian, about 90 percent. It's all assignments and group discussion. No stressful teaching and learning. Scholarships are provided and given to all. University is fine. The infrastructure and quality are good but the spark is missing. You don't feel motivated and no one cares about your studies as there are no exams. Only assignments which students create using AI.
Likes (Public transportation): The London Underground is about 2 miles away. There are buses and trains, and public transport is generally average and affordable, though can be hectic. You will need to walk quite a bit, wait at bus stops, and travel, including getting the tube from East Putney. If you live in zones 5 or 6, it can take an hour to get home. The campus has Richmond Park nearby, which is nice, and there are good canteens, career centers, and well-equipped classrooms.
Dislikes (Student Life): Not really a good experience. It's just average. There are multiple events and all kinds of student clubs, with a focus on future career opportunities. However, you will likely have to travel from far away, from zones 6 and 5, as staying in zones 1-2-3 is very expensive, which means a 1-2 hour commute each way.

MA in Culinary Arts Management - Batch of 2024

3.6
University College Birmingham is fun place with lots of extracurriculars and events.
Tips: The college has a diverse culture, which can be a bit difficult to adopt but is not impossible. It takes time to learn their culture, language, and food habits, but eventually, you will get it. I was happy to receive a 1000-pound scholarship from the university, and I am glad to be studying at UCB because it is the only college in the UK that offers my course of study.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at University College Birmingham is a lot of fun. The campus is next to everything you need, from nightlife to daytime activities. There are cultural events happening every month, which is a great way to promote unity and diversity among the students.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus, it is very difficult to get a part-time job because the university prioritizes UK-based students who have UK experience. However, it is easy to manage a part-time job during university hours because most places only offer 20 hours of work per week and the work is very flexible. The average pay is 11.20 per hour.

Not satisfied with the course and faculty.
Tips: Cultural shift was actually a productive thing for me.
You will get to see different lifestyles, different views of living different cultural views. No scholarships were given and I am not satisfied with the course and university.
Country is okay, you will get the abroad vibes
Likes (Indian Food): You get a variety of food options.
Pricing is okay, depends on what food you want or what restaurant. Lots of Indian restaurants. Lots of Indian grocery shops around. So no struggle to get home food. I prefer to cook. For me, home food is always the best food.
Dislikes (Value for money): The college is not value for money because you expect that you will get to learn about some specific things and you get to see something else.
Very few or no practical lessons.
Guidance from the professor is very poor. They really don't try to help. They will give you time and you need to get your problem sorted within that minimum time, it does not matter if it's solved or not.

Safety is a concern here.
Tips: Be well prepared for the level of assignments and the stress related to them. Every student gets a scholarship for the course. The best option is to go for the placement/internship offered. The city is more silent than other major cities and has barely or no nightlife and hence reduces the opportunities for nighttime jobs. Job opportunities depend on the seasons heavily.
Likes (Public transportation): Campus is in the heart of the city, with excellent connectivity to different parts of the city too. There are bus services, metro services, trains, and cab/taxi services that students can avail of at discounted rates and passes would also be available for frequent travellers.
Dislikes (Safety): Crime rates are extremely high, no safety while walking alone on roads. University encourages students to use safety apps to always share location and details with trusted people so that students can remain safe. Daily news about crimes and incidents around the city creates a bad atmosphere too.
