B.Com in Management - Batch of 2026
4.5
One of the best , I would say in the whole of canada
Tips: Students should also know about the weather during winter which can be very cold. I have seen many students change universities because of the weather. Talking solely of the university, it is one of the best ones in the country. There are many internships available starting from the second year.

Good University with a small town vibe
Tips: There may be a fee hike, so please do research on that as there was a huge fee hike this year(2022) of around 10k Canadian dollars. For the program of bachelor of commerce, this university has a good business school. Not much to do in the city for leisure, also, very harsh winters.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Very easy path for permanent residence. Many people who come to this city get their PR approved as soon as their graduation gets completed. If you like small town vibe, this city is for you, or you can change places after you get your permanent residency.
Dislikes (Safety): The second day in the city I wasn’t aware of the safety concerns and went exploring the city and got robbed. The university area is pretty much safe with protective services but the downtown is not a place to go alone. The safety inside university has no concerns.

Been a mixed batch of experiences.
Tips: Atlanta can be a mixed experience for people but downtown where the campus is located, is filled with opportunities and more. Sometimes it is hard to meet people outside classes and this can be hard to combat but I do appreciate the culture and diversity present on campus. The faculty is helpful and will encourage you to participate in on-campus activities and extracurriculums.

Great learning with amazing academics and faculty.
Tips: I had a slight culture shock when I initially got here owing to which it took me a while to settle down and make friends. This was mainly because of how individualistic everything appeared but once my classes started and I was more occupied with campus events, everything became a lot simpler. The city is friendly although it can also be very rushed at times so keep an open mind and join a campus activity or a part-time job that you'd enjoy. Overall, I am satisfied with the course, university and the country.

It has been an interesting and unique experience.
Tips: I have experienced a lot of changes in myself during my experience studying at this university. It can feel overwhelming at the start as there are a lot of students throughout campus and the classes are competitive as well. There are events that take place but they are not advertised as much so you'll have better luck exploring outside campus or being more involved. Aside from nightlife, the city has a lot to offer. Overall it has been a unique and decent experience.

It has been a dynamic and unique experience.
Tips: I was nervous about my experience at Georgia State University because I had never lived this far from home. However, it only took me a semester to settle in comfortably. There are a lot of exciting events and places to go around campus, which is probably due to its location and accessibility. A good way to connect with fellow students is to join campus groups and organizations and explore nearby attractions.

Grateful for the opportunity to study at Georgia State University.
Tips: Studying here has taught me a lot about myself and helped me develop many essential skills as well. The scope of internships and job placements are limited as I am pursuing sociology which has limited marketable opportunities. The faculty is very dedicated and there is immense scope for research and other such projects as well. Overall, I am satisfied wth the country, course and the university.

M.S. Educational Psychology - Batch of 2025

Lot of educational opportunities are provided.
Tips: I initially found it challenging to settle in as I had missed orientation and came here right when the classes had begun so by the time I had reached campus, the majority of my batchmates had their own groups. What helped me in my case was participating in campus events and clubs such as the writing club where I could meet people of similar interests. Aside from this, I would say studying here has been a positive experience and I am satisfied with the college.

It is one of a kind educational opportunity.
Tips: Having a college experience here is truly one of a kind. The professors will make you develop an interest in their courses like never before and you will get to experience a more hands-on form of learning as well because of the college internship opportunities and group projects which encourage you to learn outside classrooms. Finally, ensure that your credits are in order in time for graduation as the administration has held back students for this reason.

Good place to study in Atlanta.
Tips: I am enjoying my time at Georgia State University so far. I am finding the classes to be challenging, but I am learning a lot and enjoying the subject matter. Grateful for the opportunity.
Tips: I have observed that compared to most American universities, Georgia State has more academically rigorous programs which can make the coursework more challenging as well. But it can also be said that the professors are involved in student success and give personalised attention if you make it a point to interact. There are many job opportunities provided by the university so make sure to find and get the one that matches your field of interest and curriculum.

Great environment to study.
Tips: What I have noticed at Georgia State University for quite some time now is that some of the academic programs are truly outstanding, but the administration and student services are really disorganized at times, which can be tricky to navigate. Overall, life on campus is lively, and you can explore the city easily since public transportation is good.

Georgia State University has a great college environment with highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: The best thing about GSU has got to be its location in downtown Atlanta as it is easily the most popular area with numerous opportunities for both part-time and full-time work. For anyone considering joining here, I would say that develop a connection with your student services administration and ask for more individualised attention especially if you are keen on sitting here. Besides, the country is safe and public transportation is very accessible and convenient to use so make sure to explore the city.

Tips: I have been consistently learning a lot and I have seen consistent transition because of it. My major has great faculty and involved teaching assistants. Eventful - things change here at a fast rate
Tips: You should try to have a positive outlook.
Do some research on the subjects that interest you.
Focus on statistics & probability. Get understanding of python programming language so as to understand the concepts which are being discussed in the class. Save some case studies on your own.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors have good knowledge in their area of expertise.
The office hours are really helpful to brainstorm ideas and come out with pointers that can be discussed from different point of view to solve a specific problem related to analytics domain.
Dislikes (Safety): Not safe after 9 PM. After 9 PM be cautious while roaming, prefer to be in groups.
Otherwise everything is okay & no need to worry about anything else.
Use marta to commute from community to college.
Commutation is not an issue.
Good connectivity.

Great public university with supportive faculty.
Tips: MSIS course is a one-year course and hence it is very hectic. Time management is crucial. So far it has been a good journey. Things are fast-paced here so be prepared to catch up. There won't be time to settle down. If you are looking to switch domains then I won't recommend this course as it is just 1 year course. I would recommend this course to students with 5 or more years of work experience.
Likes (Part time work): Every student belonging to MS in IS has an on-campus part-time job. It is very easy to get one. Your part time work salary is too less though but the university offers scholarship as part of your part time job. The scholarship would be 15,000 if you retain the job for full one year. The salary is only 400 Dollars per month. Work is not much and you hardly have to go for it and mostly it is remote. So basically the Assistantship which is also called as part time on campus job's payment is salary plus scholarship amount.
Dislikes (Safety): Atlanta can be unsafe at times, so it's best to go out in a group after dark and avoid interacting with strangers. I've never had any problems, but I've heard stories. I live in Lindbergh, where most Indian students live, and the cost of living is reasonable. There are decent job opportunities in the city.
