Perfect for international students to explore and learn.
Tips: France is an amazing country for students. It's affordable and has amazing universities, labs, and research centres. There's an organisation that refunds some of your rent depending on your learning and living conditions. There are also organisations that give free groceries twice a month to international students. These include milk, eggs, meat, vegetables, fruits, flour, pasta, rice, bread, yogurt, and desserts. There are also health organisations for checking the overall health of international students. I personally came here via an Erasmus Mundus scholarship that gave me an average of 1,300–1,400 euros a month. I am perfectly satisfied with the university, the course, the internships, and the experiences it provides, and the country is amazing in terms of financial affordability, research, and student environment.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The university has very helpful and reachable professors. The university is perfectly organised, and the professors know how much they have to finish in a day. They are also very cooperative; you can ask them questions in class or arrange private meetings with them. Professors at Caen also help you find internships and further Ph.D. options after your Master's. My professors were French and Italian teachers. I like that some of the courses don't have exams but have assignments every week related to what's covered that week. It allows you to review the classes of the week for finishing the assignment, and it's not as stressful as studying the whole subject for one exam in the end, where you might forget the details of the initial classes and feel overwhelmed.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi restaurants, but no Indian grocery stores. The groceries are affordable in general. Plus, there's an organization that provides free groceries to international students twice a month. I prefer cooking for myself, but there's also a very affordable canteen at the university.

Affordable education and average climate.
Tips: There is a language barrier; people know English, but often resist speaking it. Learning French is highly recommended. The climate is not very favorable, with heavy rain and mostly dark conditions. The university is economically very good for students, providing free groceries to international students twice a month.
