- The prerequisites for studying are a first university degree qualifying for a profession at a German university with an overall grade of at least "good" in the field of mechatronics or related subjects such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar, or an equivalent university degree from a foreign university.
- Applicants must have one of the following:
- Completed studies (at least 6 theoretical semesters / 180 ECTS) in mechatronics or precision engineering with an overall grade of at least 2.5 at a German university or an equivalent degree, OR
- Completed studies (at least 6 theoretical semesters / 180 ECTS) in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or automotive engineering) with an overall grade of at least 2.5 at a German university or an equivalent degree
- Proof of completion of a practical semester of study or at least 18 weeks of relevant industrial practice
