Student life in Wuerzburg
Tips: The first semester was a bit stressful as you try to adapt to the courses, life, and food, which is usually not that good. Document work is also very exhausting in the first 2-3 months. The most difficult part is finding accommodation. I recommend checking and applying for student accommodation 8 months before coming. I am satisfied with the university, but courses and exams can get very difficult. The location of Würzburg is good, as other cities like Nuremberg are not that far away and there is a train connection. However, winter here is not pleasant. I recommend focusing and getting more courses in winter, as there are a few things to do in the city. Job opportunities are very low in the city; if you are planning to work, I would definitely not recommend the city of Wuerzburg.
Likes (Student Life): Wuerzburg is a student city with a lot of activities available. Walking and discovering the city and other places in the city is enjoyable. There is the Wuerzburg International Network that hosts weekly activities. The city is beautiful overall, very active, especially in the summer. There is also a student consultancy group that is accepting international students as well.
Dislikes (Internships): Not that much guidance is available to find internships. You basically have to figure it out by yourself. No internship available in the city, and most of the internships in other cities nearby require good German knowledge. There is still a possibility of finding an internship if you are lucky and consistently looking for one. No internships are available in my field of study; it is mostly academically oriented.
