Yes, Grand Valley State University offes various scholarships to international students. Scholarships for international students are to help them cover their tuition costs at GVSU. Two of the most popular Grand Valley State University scholarships for international studetns are the Merit Scholarship and International Student Scholarship. Award amounts for the International Student Scholarship range from USD 250/INR 20,713 to USD 3,000/INR 2.50 L. The committee considers each applicant's academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, personal essay, and financial situation in determining the awards.

Q:   What is International Student Scholarship at GVSU?
A: 

Grand Valley State University offers International Student Scholarship to all international undergraduate students on these visa types (E2, F1, H4, K2, L2, R2, TN and TD) and  have been admitted to Grand Valley . These students will eceive a scholarship to cover the extra cost of being a non-Michigan resident. The Grand Valley State University Scholarship awards will range from USD 2,500/INR 2.0 L  to USD 10,000/INR 8.30 L.  This scholarship will automatically renew for up to four years.  Scholarship decisions are made by committee and are based on a review of the information in the scholarship application.

The scholarship award will renew for up to four years with a value of about USD 6,200 (INR 5.14 lakh) per academic year.

Students with a track record of academic achievement are eligible to apply for the International Merit Scholarship. Students must apply for this scholarship by start of the year to be eligible for consideration. The value of the scholarships will be between USD 2,500 (INR 2.07 lakhs) and USD 10,000 (INR 83,054).

For a maximum of four years, this scholarship will automatically renew. The committee that decides on scholarships does so after reviewing the data included in the application. Students can combine the GVSU International Scholarship and the International Merit Scholarship.

Q:   How long does Grand Valley take to send acceptance letters?

According to unofficial sources, students who are applying for admission to GVSU must submit their application three months before the programme deadline. The Grand Valley takes four to five weeks to respond after reviewing the application. Students receive admission notification through mail. Also, the application letter includes information regarding entry, residency requirements, and particular protocols.

During admission, international students are required to register I-20 application which is provided via FedEx. Also, you need to submit the passport and financial documents including, cash deposit, certificate of deposit, term deposit, saving account, investment account, and checking accounts. 

After receiving your I-20, you can move forward to visa appointments, where you must cross-verify your details (spelling of your name, date of birth, programme of study, and funding source) and pay the SEVIS fee (I-901 Student and Exchange Visitor Information).
