- Each year, RePIC may accept a study cohort with a total capacity of around 60 students. Admission may be granted to applicants who are not in conflict with national legal requirements for admission and meet the following eligibility criteria
- Applicants must submit all necessary application documents according to the joint application procedure established by the RePIC Admission Committee by the established deadline day
- Applicants must have acquired a qualified Bachelors degree (Level 8, NFQ) with a dissertation, or an equivalent degree, that gives them access to a Masters degree programme with a total grade above average indicated in a Transcript of Records
- Applicants and demonstrable experience in themes related to redesigning post-industrial cities and design-related background. including but not limited to in the following fields: Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geoinformatics, Sociology, Public Administration, Culture, Media, Visual Art, and other related fields of study
- Applicants have to submit a motivation letter in which they provide a reflection about the content of the degree programme, and state their specific interest in the RePIC programme and their envisaged contributions to the programme
- Applicants require a recognised qualification in the language of instruction (English)

- Applicants submit their application through the central RePIC Application Board
- Submitted applications will be checked for completeness and ineligible candidates will be rejected. Eligible and well-qualified candidates are chosen by the Joint RePIC Admission Committee according to the following selection criteria
- Type and level of academic qualification according to grades
- Type and level of documented research experience
- Type and level of prior knowledge and professional experience in the field
- Persuasive power of the motivation letter
- Results of admission interviews (if applicable)
- RePIC considers itself to be an inclusive programme and intends to recruit students worldwide. This will increase the accessibility of the Masters programme and the diversity of its student population
- The RePIC Board of Directors will develop and implement an Equality and Diversity Awareness Programme and, as part of the application process, ensure the collection of nationality, gender and disability data
- Travel Visas and Residency Permits
- It is the responsibility of the students to check that the authorisations required for visa and residence permits are in order before the Partner Institution permits the students activities in the RePIC degree programme to take place for students with or without an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) scholarship. The Partner Institutions will make every effort to aid students in obtaining any necessary visa and residence permits before their studies commence

A practical learning experience with strong support but competitive opportunities.
Tips: Before joining, students should know that the course is quite intensive and requires consistent effort. Being proactive is very important, especially in networking, attending events and applying early for jobs or internships. For non-EU students, the job market can be competitive, so planning really helps. At the same time, UCC offers good support through the Careers team, student services and various clubs that help you feel settled and supported. My transition was a bit challenging at first, mainly adapting to a new academic style that is more independent and discussion-based. There was also a cultural shift in communication, but over time, it became easier by engaging with different people and getting involved in activities. While applying, you may receive a scholarship based on your previous academic performance, which is usually deducted from the tuition fees. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. The course is practical and industry focused, and Ireland provides good exposure. However, securing internships or jobs, especially as a non EU student, requires extra effort and persistence.
Likes (Safety): I have generally felt safe both on campus and in the city. Apart from campus security, there are various supports and clubs within the university that make you feel safe and supported in any situation. The university also provides student services and guidance if any issues arise, and the overall environment is friendly and respectful. I haven’t had any negative experiences in the city and day-to-day life has felt comfortable and secure.
Dislikes (Internships): It’s extremely hard for non EU students to get an internship after this course. However, the UCC Careers team provides strong support through workshops, CV reviews and career fairs. The guidance available is helpful but securing an internship still requires a lot of independent effort and early applications. There are relevant opportunities in the field competition is high and many roles have visa or experience-related constraints.

Tips: I availed merit based scholarship awarded based on the academic performance of 2000 euros. The university and the experience were amazing. I am quite satisfied with the overall experience. One of the best universities with excellent staff in the country.
Tips: Be open to change. Learning here is fun and completely different from the Indian style. All the staff are the best and will go out of their way to help you with academics. I am very satisfied with my university and I did get the basic scholarship that I was eligible for.
Culturally people here are very polite and thankful.

Very few companies offer sponsorship.
Tips: Rent is high, you might end up paying more, so you need to have your savings.
Getting part time is not easy; it might be more difficult than internships, unless you network properly.
Studies are not at all easy; there were many who failed in our batch because they could not handle both part-time work and studies. You need to invest some time in studying.
Likes (Internships): I had to search for internships on my own; the college didn't help me exclusively, other than arranging career fairs that inform you about companies, but don't help you as such. I had to apply almost every day for internships, and I landed one because I had prior work experience. It would have been way harder if I were a fresher.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Very few companies offer sponsorship. All kinds of software jobs are available. Packages offered depend on experience, company, and also the job role. A junior can get anywhere between 30000 euros and 60000 euros, but visa sponsorship is less. The competition is high for each role as there are many talented professionals.

Tips: Students planning to join (UCC) should know that it is a research-intensive university with a strong academic focus especially in life sciences, biotechnology and biomedical research. The Biochemistry and Biosciences programs are rigorous and research-oriented so students should be prepared for independent learning, critical thinking and laboratory work.
I did not receive a scholarship but UCC offers several merit-based and international student scholarships. These typically require strong academic records and are awarded automatically or through a separate application process. Some scholarships offer partial tuition fee waivers ranging from 2,000–5,000.
I am highly satisfied with my experience at UCC. The university offers strong academic support, modern laboratory facilities and exposure to advanced research methodologies. The Biochemistry and Biosciences program is well-structured and aligns well with current industry and research demands.
Ireland as a country is safe, student-friendly and research-driven, particularly in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical sciences. Cork, being a student city, has a welcoming atmosphere and good quality of life.
