About Kwantlen Polytechnic University
KPU was founded as a Candian based public university in 1981 in Surrey, British Columbia and is one of the biggest institutes by enrolment within British Columbia with a total of 5 locations covering the Metro Vancouver district.
It is Canada's only polytechnic university and was appointed as the member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) on October 24th of 2008 meanwhile it is also associated with the IAU, ACU, CICan, CUP and CBIE.

KPU History
KPU was first established in 1981 after being separated from Douglas College. Five community colleges located in Cariboo, Fraser Valley, Kwantlen, Malaspina, and Okanagan were granted authority to offer a range of baccalaureate degrees to students in 1988. Later in 1995, the university had been given authority to offer any degrees to the students with their own right.
