- Applicants have pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) / Matriculation / A-Level / Pre-University Programme or other qualification equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 the following subjects:
- Biology / Physics
- Chemistry;
- AND Passed the Certificate of Education (SPM) / O-Level with five (5) credits, of which three (3) credits in the following subjects:
- Life Sciences
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- English; OR
- Passed Diploma (Level 4 Qualification Framework (MOF) in a related field from any HEP with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Diploma (Level 4, MOH) in a related field from any HEP with a CGPA of less than 2.75 and has a work experience of at least three (3) years (36 months) in a related field.
