British Psychological Society: Applications open for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025

Study in UK: The last date to apply for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025 at the British Psychological Society is June 8, 2025.

The British Psychological Society has announced that applications for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme are now open. The scheme offers funding to UK-based psychology postgraduate students for their research-based study visits to Europe, the UK, and any other foreign country.

The Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025 is open to members of the British Psychological Society. To be eligible for this, they must be currently registered for a doctoral degree at a UK university in psychology courses. For example, a DClinPsy or a PhD.

Under the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme, a member can apply for six weeks of funding coverage and for a visit to an institute in the UK, they can get up to £500, for a visit to an institute in Europe - up to £800 and for a visit to an institute in other countries, they can get up to £1,200.

BPS Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025: Eligibility Criteria, Other Details

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025:

• The candidates should be a minimum of a Graduate member of the society.
• They need to be registered at any UK institute for a doctoral degree in psychology.
• Those on Master's Courses are not eligible for this scheme.

It is an exciting opportunity to do research and visit a prestigious institute. The earlier recipients have used the funding to cover an early career researcher's visit to the Université Grenoble Alpes, a research project in Brazil conducted to study mental health literacy and to visit the University of Oslo for a PhD study in the auditory verbal hallucinations field.

How To Apply

Along with the application form, one should submit the supporting statement from their doctoral supervisor, a copy of the updated CV, and a supporting statement from the proposed host institution.

"As the grant holder, you will be fully responsible for the use of the funds and for making the practical arrangements for the visit. As part of the conditions of the award, you should let us know the exact date of the visit once you have finalised all arrangements," says the BPS statement.
