IELTS Exam Fee to Increase to INR 19,000 from April 1, 2026
The IELTS test fee in India will increase to INR 19,000 from April 1, 2026. Students can still book their IELTS exam at the current fee of INR 18,000 until March 31, 2026. Candidates planning to take the test in the coming months should register early to avoid the higher cost.
IELTS Test Fees 2026: Indian students planning to take the IELTS exam will have to pay a higher fee from April 2026. According to the official update on the IDP IELTS India website, the IELTS test fee will increase from INR 18,000 to INR 19,000 starting April 1, 2026.
Currently, the IELTS exam fee in India is INR 18,000 for both Academic and General Training tests, whether the exam is taken on paper or on computer. However, students can still book their IELTS test at the current fee of INR 18,000 until March 31, 2026, even if the test date falls later in the year. This means candidates who plan to take the test in the coming months can save INR 1,000 by completing their booking before the deadline.
