Study In Denmark: Apply For 16 NAD PhD Fellowships In Neuroscience

Neuroscience Academy Denmark (NAD) is offering 16 fully funded PhD fellowships. The fellowships will commence on January 1, 2026. They are open to highly motivated and outstanding candidates pursuing a career in neuroscience research. The last date to submit the application is August 11, 2025, till 4:00 PM.

All the applications will be assessed by the selection committee and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview through Zoom. After the interviews, a total of 16 best candidates will be recommended by the NAD's Governing Board.

Once the candidates submit the applications by the deadline, the students must accept an interview invitation by Early September. The interviews will be held from mid-September to September end and by October, they will come to know whether they are selected for the fellowship or not.

Eligibility Requirements For NAD PhD Fellowships In Neuroscience

The following are the eligibility requirements for the fellowship opportunities:

The candidates are expected to have an MD or MSc in fields including medicine, neuroscience, biochemistry, molecular biomedicine, biomedical engineering, pharmacology, biology, bioinformatics, computer science, psychology, or other relevant areas.

The main requirement is the candidates must have a sincere interest in the neuroscience courses or projects or similar activities.

The applicant should have an investigative mindset, be self-motivated, organized, result-oriented and someone who can work independently and also in groups.

They should be curious to learn new techniques and methods.

They are expected to possess strong oral and written English communication skills.

If one is not from a country where English is the first language or during their graduation and master's, the language of instruction was not English, then they must submit the IELTS (of minimum 6.5) tests or TOEFL (minimum 560 in the written).







There will be three lab rotation periods in 2026. The first lab rotation will be from January 1 to March 22, 2026, and second lab rotation will be from March 23 to June 7, 2026, and the third lab rotation will be from June 8 to September 6, 2026.

"From 7 September to 31 December, you will be affiliated with your PhD laboratory. In this period, you will write your PhD proposal and prepare your PhD studies," reads the official statement.
