Hindu students at the University of Bath now have a dedicated worship place named 'Mandir. The opening ceremony of the Mandir was recently attended by the representatives of the university's Hindu society, the wider Hindu community, the university's leadership team, Priest Kusumadher Pandey, and the Students' Union.
While commenting on this, Professor Jane White, Vice President (Community and Inclusion) at the University of Bath, said, “It was an absolute delight to open the Hindu faith space on campus on behalf of the University and to welcome Pt. Kusumadhar Pandey and representatives from the National Hindus' Student Forum to join us on this important occasion. Providing faith space for all members of our university community has been an institutional priority over the past 18 months, and through the collaborative endeavour of many members of our community, we can now offer a wonderful space for the practice of faith for any member of our Hindu community.”
