University Of Sheffield UK Offers Computer Science Excellence Scholarship 2025

Study in UK: Interested candidates need not apply for the University of Sheffield's Computer Science Excellence Scholarship 2025 separately, it will automatically be provided to the eligible candidates when the programme begins in October 2025.
The University of Sheffield has announced that it will offer Computer Science Excellence Scholarship 2025. The scholarship is open to outstanding international students who will commence their undergraduate programme in September 2025. The scholarship worth is up to £2,000 and is only applicable for students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield.
"Scholarships of up to £2,000 will be awarded in recognition of academic excellence to overseas fee students starting an undergraduate degree September 2025 in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield," says the university statement.
"The University will offer the scholarship in the form of a cash bursary at the start of the course should applicants be eligible. The scholarship amount is depended on applicants' academic achievement. Once in receipt of this scholarship, applicants will be awarded £1,000 each subsequent academic year subject to maintaining a 70% overall average mark in the previous academic year," added the university statement.
The award is to recognize the academic merit of the students and hence it will be dependent on the academic achievements. The amount will be:
- £2,000 for A*A*A* including an A* in Mathematics
- £1,000 for A*A*A including an A* in Mathematics
Eligibility Criteria For Computer Science Excellence Scholarship 2025
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- In the UCAS application process for 2025 entry, the student must make the University of Sheffield their first and firm choice.
- They should have A-level grades of A*A*A (or above) including an A* in Mathematics.
- They must be classified as international fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes.
- They need to apply for a full-time undergraduate programme in the Department of Computer Science.
- The applicants need to take all prerequisite subjects for their chosen degree.
"Candidates will not have to apply for these scholarships, as they are automatically awarded to all eligible students when they commence their studies in the Department in October 2025," added the university.
