University of Southampton Delhi Appoints Professor Eloise Phillips As Academic Provost

Study Abroad: Professor Eloise Phillips will take up this role in May before the University of Southampton New Delhi campus will welcome its first cohort of students in August.
The University of Southampton has announced the appointment of Professor Eloise Phillips as Academic Provost for its new campus in New Delhi.
Professor Andrew Atherton, Vice President of International and Engagement at the University of Southampton, said, “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Eloise Phillips as Academic Provost of the University’s Delhi campus. Eloise joins us from the University of Birmingham Dubai campus and so has extensive experience of international campus development. We are looking forward to her leadership of the campus at this very exciting point in the development of the University, and in particular the launch of our Delhi campus in 2025.”
Prof Phillips commented, “I was drawn to the University of Southampton for its mission to impact and transform students' lives and the region, which aligns with my professional values and passion. I am honored to accept the role of Academic Provost and Associate Vice-President (International) at the University of Southampton Delhi and look forward to leading our international campus towards excellence in education, research, and knowledge exchange. About University Of Southampton Delhi Academic Provost
She is currently Head of Health, Wellbeing, and Human Science programmes at the University of Birmingham’s flagship campus in Dubai. She played an important role in setting up the Dubai campus. Earlier, she was the Associate Dean at Aston University.
She is a highly experienced advanced clinical practitioner and a registered nurse. In her global career, she worked in healthcare leadership and management, clinical practice, academia and research.
“The University of Southampton Delhi will become India’s first global top 100 university when the campus in Gurugram opens to provide high-quality education rooted in research excellence, innovation, and real-world opportunities for Indian students,” says the university statement.
