Scholarship Overview

The Jane Slowey Memorial Bursary is applicable to only Bachelors courses. This is a merit based scholarship. The Jane Slowey Memorial Bursary award up to Pound 2,500 one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a The Jane Slowey Memorial Bursary. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

• Applicanys must be undertaking an undergraduate dissertation within the Department of Social Policy, Sociology and Criminology. 

Application Process for this scholarship

• To apply, students are required to submit an application of no more than 500 words indicating:

  • Why you should be awarded the bursary,
  • How you would use the money to support your research,
  • How you would benefit from the mentoring opportunity with Commonweal Housing
• Applicants should also ensure that they indicate the proposed focus of their dissertation project.
