  • The scholarship is divided evenly between the Fall and Spring Semesters-Renewable contingent on maintaining a 2.5 GPA and earning a total of 24 credit hours during the Fall and Spring Semesters
  • Eligible students who continue to meet certain criteria can receive this scholarship for a total of 8 semesters of full-time undergraduate study.
  • It can be used for undergraduate tuition only

Eligibility

  • Scholarship Criteria:
    • Undergraduate Merit Scholarship Program is designed to recognize academically outstanding students.
    • Must be charged non-resident tuition surcharge
    • For students attending directly from high school, the scholarship is based on their high school GPA. If applicants are transferring from another institution the GPA is based on their previous undergraduate GPA.
    • Students must be enrolled full-time
    • Must be an international degree seeking student on an F1 visa or J1 visa
  • Applicants will be considered for this scholarship upon admission to the university. Following is the general admission requirement for the applicants to fulfill:
    • Applicants must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale)
    • Recommended High School Course Work for Admission:
      • 4 years English
      • 4 years Mathematics 
      • 3 years Science
      • 3 years of Social Studies
  • As the course eligibility varies from course to course, students need to check the course pages and fulfill them.
  • English language requirements:
    • TOEFL:- 61
    • IELTS: 5.5 with no subscore lower than 5.0
    • Pearson PTE: 51
    • Duolingo: 110
    • Some of our colleges or programs have a higher English proficiency requirement:
      • College of Engineering and Computer Science: minimum TOEFL 71
      • English major: minimum TOEFL 79; minimum IELTS 6.5 or minimum Pearson 58
  • English Language proficiency waiver:
    • SAT combined score of 510 on the evidence-based reading and writing portion.
