- Art Portfolio: Applicants of the Digital Art and Animation program need to submit an art portfolio containing ten to fifteen samples of art works made by them. Additional art works may be requested by DigiPen (Singapore), if needed.
- Art Portfolio Requirements:
- Prescribed Drawings from Direct Observation: Using a graphite pencil or charcoal and art paper as the medium, applicants will have to do the following four prescribed drawings from observation (real-life objects):
- Pair of shoes
- Same pair of shoes as above, but in a different view point (for example, the rear portion of shoes) or orientation (for example, upside down position of shoes)
- Interior room (for example, kitchen or bedroom)
- Self-portrait
- In the corner of every piece, date of creation and time spent on the drawing must be written.
- The remaining six to eleven pieces of artwork are free samples which shows the current range, abilities, and artistic process. Personal artworks like animations, figure study/animal study, colour study, original characters, architectural design, landscape painting, sculpture, and other paintings can be included in the art portfolio. No artwork borrowed from manga, animé, animation, painting, or photograph is allowed in the portfolio (illustrations from master copies are allowed).
