Below are the application requirements -

Transcripts
You must have a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member examine your academic credentials. If transfer credit is not expected, secondary education qualifications should either be evaluated generally or document by document if transfer credit is not anticipated.
The assessment must include:

  • Your credentials' U.S. equivalent
  • Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • a copy of every document that was published in English or that was translated into English
  • The day and month of each Diploma was issued

For post-secondary education and/or secondary education where transfer credit may be awarded, you will be required to provide a course by course evaluation. The assessment must include:

  • US Equivalence for each school diploma
  • Grade Point Average (GPA) for each academic qualification
  • the month and year that any secondary or post secondary degrees were completed 

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TESTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Pearson Test of English (PTE), the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or a Duolingo score must be submitted by students whose first language is not English.

F1 Status
After being accepted, you must submit the International Student Financial Statement (ISFS) if you need the F-1 student status in order to attend FIT. The I-20 Form, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status, which is required to submit an application for an F-1 visa, can only be issued if this document is accepted by FIT.

Q:   How much is Fashion Institute of Technology application fee for international students?

A $100 application fee is due and must be paid by credit card or electronic check. The application cost is not refunded. In order to avoid having your application rejected by the college, applicants are advised to carefully choose their programme. Applicants are only allowed to apply for one undergraduate or graduate programme at FIT in a year.
