Located in one of Europe's most dynamic capital cities. It offers 300 programs and 1,700 courses in science and human science, including 75 master’s programs taught in English. These include courses in the field of Computer and Systems Sciences, Business and Economics, Arts and Humanities, Media and Communication, Human, Social, Political Sciences, Law, Science, Mathematics, Language, and Linguistics. Stockholm University also has a scholarship program for its international students.
The university has tie-ups with universities around the world that mediate effective international collaboration in the fields of education and research. The partner universities include European Civic University, Helsinki University, University of Illinois, and the University of Tokyo. The University also has strategic partnerships with Accelerator, Baltic Sea Centre, and Navarino Environmental Observatory.
The scholarship will be awarded to students based on their academic performance before applying to Stockholm University. The scholarship scheme will only cover the tuition fees to be paid by students, once admitted to any Master’s program. Living costs will still have to be borne by the students. Applicants can also look for the Swedish Institute Scholarships that are offered by government agencies to international students. Students can reach out to Stockholm University career counselors to understand which scholarship will better suit their needs.
The University provides different support services to students once enrolled. Their Academic Writing Support service is available to all the students free of cost. They can help students prepare study plans, writing groups, talks, workshops, and also individual guidance. Making the decision to study in a foreign land can be a daunting task in itself; Stockholm University offers its counseling services to both prospective and existing students, helping them make informed choices. Also, Students with disabilities can apply for support during their tenure. The University has fully equipped resource rooms with adjustable furniture and computers with top-notch technologies which can be reserved by students with disabilities as per their requirement. Stockholm University has partnered with the Stockholm County Council, to work towards improving the state of public healthcare and transportation in the area.
