Q. Does Lund University have courses in English?
A. Lund University offers nine international Bachelor’s programmes that are taught in English and are open to international students. In addition, the university offers a wide range of stand-alone courses at the Bachelor’s level. Lund University also offers over 130 Master's degree programmes taught in English across a wide range of subjects. The programmes are therefore truly international and offer a global perspective on the issues our world is facing today.
Q. Can an international student study at Lund University for free?
A. There are no tuition fees for citizens of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. Fees for full-time Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes are listed on our website. Tuition fees are to be paid in SEK and cover the full year of study for non-EU/EEA citizens. However Indian students can apply for scholarships provided by the university and on our website.
Can students work while on their Study Visas in Sweden?
A. Yes. Study Visa applicants can work on their Study Visa and there are no limits to how many hours. A student may also take up full day jobs. The only condition, however, is, the student must spend a minimum of 40 hours a week on his studies.

The university came into existence after the Bishop of Lund Peder Windstrup proposed to King Charles X Gustav that Lund should have an academy and thus on Dec 19, 1666, Lund University was founded.
