Conditions of admission
- To be admitted to the Master in Political Science, candidates must demonstrate a solid knowledge of the basics of the discipline.

- Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in political science (or equivalent) from the University of Geneva or another Swiss university and candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in international relations with an emphasis on international politics from the University of Geneva are in principle admitted to the Master in Political Science without any other conditions.

- Holders of other diplomas are admitted on application. To be eligible, candidates must have previously completed the equivalent of at least 60 ECTS credits of political science teaching (approximately one year full-time).
- Candidates who do not have the necessary foundations may be admitted:
- At the Master's level, but with the obligation to follow some Bachelor's courses in addition to the ordinary program (Master's degree with co-requisites)

- For a preparatory year (“additional bridging program”) consisting of courses and Bachelor seminars in the different sub-disciplines of political science (public policy, comparative politics, international relations, political behavior, Swiss politics, political theory, methodology). The student who successfully completes this transition program will then be automatically admitted to the Master's degree.
