A great place to learn and grow.

Tips: Students should know that the college offers a supportive learning environment, an active student life and good faculty members but it also expects you to be disciplined and manage your time well. Getting involved in clubs and activities really helps you to grow and maintain yourself.

Likes (Indian Food): I can definitely say that the food here is absolutely delicious. You will get different types of food, also with great taste. Many restaurants are not too far from the college. But I mostly prefer to cook myself case it's expensive out there although I sometimes eat out.

It’s a great place to grow, study and live.

Tips: For international students, Aru provides visa guidance, cultural integration programs and pre arrival resources to ensure smooth transition to life in the UK. Understanding Aru rules of attendance, grading and student conduct is essential to avoid any academic and disciplinary issues. This is a safe place to live and study, not just for international students but for everyone. The environment for international students is also welcoming and safe. I have good experiences in terms of safety. There’s also a special community for student safety. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.

Dislikes (Part time work): It’s very difficult to get a part-time job without references in the UK. International students aren’t skilled according to UK-based culture and requirements, and references play a large role in hiring. International students aren’t aware of the current market trend in the UK.

Supportive and helpful faculty.

Tips: It is a value for money university. Compared to other universities, it is cheaper and it's located in Cambridge, which is the best part. And the faculty members are very kind and helpful. Initially, they helped me to find a job. I mean, it's not that bad choice if you are going for it.

A practical, student focused university with strong career exposure.

Tips: Students should be aware that this college places emphasis on independent learning, practical application and self discipline. Academic support and resources are widely available, success depends on the student's initiative. Students should actively seek internships and part time. The opportunity is solid but not strongly guaranteed or structurally embedded in the program. Students can get internships but the outcome heavily depends on individual effort, timing and market conditions rather than university driven placement pipeline.

Likes (Part time work): Part time opportunities are widely available, legally supported and realistically manageable for international students both on and off campus. The university offers on campus part time for international students. Off campus students' access to wide part time opportunities such as a supermarket.

You will be better off knowing multiple people and building connections.

Tips: Most of the students are Indians. It feels like you went to Kerala to study. Join multiple activities, connect with multiple people. Don't be afraid. Other Indians might judge but that is fine. Not satisfied as much as I want to be. Participate in meetups and network events.

Likes (Safety): Cambridge is safe. No crime. Apart from bicycle theft, there is nothing you need to worry about. I used to go to the gym at 12 AM and return on a bicycle or by walk home at 2 AM. There is no security at all but there is no crime. In my 3 years in the city, I never heard of any crime except for bicycle theft.

Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are very less number of companies that offer sponsorship currently. The immigration rules have changed drastically. Given that still Cambridge is still home for the NHS which still takes students and sponsors them. Mostly jobs are high for Biology biotech, pharma, and related students. Cambridge and NHS and Adenbrooke's hospital work together in multiple biotech research. And there are a lot of pharma companies as well.
