BSc Computer Science - Batch of 2029

Good university for opportunities
Tips: I remember the first time I arrived in the UK, the experience was totally new. The language was English, but the British accent was, my God, very hard to get, though I am familiar with it now. I didn't get a scholarship, but I got a £ 4k discount for year one. I am satisfied with my university as it is academically focused.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The overall staff and management are very friendly and reachable. They support you at every step. If you don't understand a topic in specific modules, you can email the module leader and book an appointment for a clearer understanding.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Getting a sponsorship is very competitive. There are many companies hiring, but they don't want to offer sponsorship. It is very hard to get sponsorship, but if you build skills and experience, then it will be easy. graduate salaries are between 30k - 40k pounds.

Good for Indian students.
Tips: I have had both good times and bad times mostly positive experiences here. One of the plus points has to be the location and how connected it is which makes life easier. For Indian students, it is good as there is a strong asouth Asian community. Living a little on the outskirts can make affording rent easier.

Great place to study in.
Tips: Studying here has been a learning journey for me. The city is very lively and student friendly so you'll have an easy time adjusting and the campus is very diverse and accepting. Most modules focus on coursework, case studies and group presentations.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is super affordable but not very necessary in our case as the city is very walkable and well connected as well. The campus is located in a very prime spot so it is pretty easy to get around here.

It is a good university.
Tips: Skill up is important. There are multiple scholarships available. Look up the university website. Start working on your CV, interview skills as soon as possible. Most of the university courses have group activities, presentations. Most of the exams are based on real life case studies.
Likes (Student Life): We get to meet people from all over the world and it is incredible to know about their culture, diversity, etc. The university organises events to help students meet, these are fun events. Celebration of all festivals are done. The annual 2 day party is fun.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no options for internships for international students. One has to be a permanent resident or a citizen. International students can apply for graduate roles, which are entry-level jobs that require less than 2 years of experience. University helps with CV interviews, etc.

MSc in Strategic Digital Marketing - Batch of 2024

An experience, which gives you chance to grow.
Tips: Of course there's a cultural shock in the initial days of the student life. We don't get the luxuries we get in India. Next we see us managing all by ourselves. But it is all worth it, there's a lot it teaches you. The university course was average. However, there's a lot to how you grow as a person.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport in the country is excellent and easy. There are so many apps and offline centres available to guide. Also, students get special discounts on the transport. So, keep an eye on all kinds of discount apps, there are plenty available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): We don't get sponsor jobs based on the course I did. As is it not a under skilled worker professions. The working visa that we get after finishing the course is totally a personal expense, which do not promise any job either. Plus, the job security as an immigrant is scary.
