Really great experience here.
Tips: Just focus on studies. Don't go around stirring drama. If you are nice and helpful then everyone around you will treat you nicely. There are some scholarships available and you need to go to the administrative office to fill out the form for them. There wasn't much cultural shift for me because I've visited the US multiple times before. I didn't avail any scholarships.
Likes (Student Life): Very easy to manage student life. Not too hectic. You get time to do extracurricular activities and join different clubs. There are different clubs like literature club, drama club, foreign languages club, comedy club etc. There is even a game club. I mostly spend my day going to classes, then going to the literature club meetings, then my part time job at the cafeteria, then come back to my room and study a bit. Then eat dinner and play some video games before going to sleep around 11 at night.
Dislikes (Part time work): Not many part-time jobs are available on-campus. You can work in the lab or library or the cafeteria. Plenty of off-campus part time jobs are available but you have to travel about 20 minutes for that. Typically the part time jobs are manageable with studies. The average payout for the part time job is around 200$ a week.
