Economics and Statistics BSc (Econ) at UCL University Highlights
- This program, run jointly with UCL Economics, combines an in-depth study of economics and econometrics with a solid grounding in mathematical and statistical methods. The program is suitable for students of high mathematical ability who are considering a career in finance, business or industry
- This BSc is a joint degree program taught in conjunction with UCL Economics. The first-year combination of statistics, economics, and mathematics is followed by a roughly equal mix of statistics and economics modules (including econometrics) over years two and three. In the third year, in particular, there is considerable flexibility in the range of options available in both economics and statistics
- In each year of the degree, students will take a number of individual modules, normally valued at 15 or 30 credits, adding up to a total of 120 credits for the year. Modules are assessed in the academic year in which they are taken. The balance of compulsory and optional modules varies from program to program and year to year. A 30-credit module is considered equivalent to 15 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)
