- The Engineering (Biochemical) BEng and MEng share a common curriculum of core modules. These are designed to introduce you to biochemical engineering through lectures and tutorials, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning activities, laboratory and pilot plant experience, and immersive activities. Knowledge gained in the fundamentals will be applied to a Design Project for the manufacture of a biological product in year three
- In each year of the degree, students will take a number of individual modules, normally valued at 15 or 30 credits, adding up to a total of 120 credits for the year. Modules are assessed in the academic year in which they are taken. The balance of compulsory and optional modules varies from program to program and year to year. A 30-credit module is considered equivalent to 15 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)
