World class research and global exposure.
Tips: I experienced several cultural shifts, particularly in social culture and in how identities here tend to be more individualistic rather than community-based. Trying out different activities and engaging in creative endeavours is highly valued, and it also helps in developing one's personality. It is beneficial to remain open to meeting people from different countries, as this helps expand one's horizons and provides valuable learning opportunities. I secured an industrial project for my studies funded by Shell. It did not require a separate application. I am very satisfied with my course at Cambridge, as it has given me significant exposure to world-class laboratories and industrial collaborations. I also got the opportunity to pursue new hobbies, such as observing deep sky objects with telescopes, robotics, hiking and more. The UK is a great place to study and to develop one's skills.
Likes (Safety): Cambridge is a very safe city and as a solo female student, I have never had any qualms when visiting areas outside the University. Strict regulations are in place to ensure student safety. That said, for general safety it is advisable not to be out alone after midnight.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I moved to the UK primarily for its world class research facilities and prestigious universities so immigration was not at the forefront of my mind when I applied for courses here. Permanent immigration is only considered if you are on a work visa not if you are a student or on a graduate visa.

Academic, immersive and nerve wrecking experience.
Tips: Cambridge is a world-class university that is very rigorous academically. If you think getting in is tough, wait until you start studying your course. The professors are genuinely helping and profound in their scholarship. The support provided by the university is also immense but even after all of this, you should be the one who needs to do hard work.
Likes (Value for money): I went to Cambridge on a full scholarship which funded my stay, tuition and airfare fees and therefore, I actually saved some money instead of spending on it. Other than that, I would say that apart from technical and professional courses at any UK university, courses in humanities are always less preferable to spend your money on.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Although I would like to settle in the UK permanently, it is becoming increasingly hard to settle there with tightening immigration rules and the local population's outlook towards immigrants in general. The economy is also weakening in the UK and with the slowdown the chances of getting good jobs are diminishing.

Great learning environment.
Tips: Students should be prepared to adapt to the environment. The biggest adjustment was the difference in culture, food and people. These are some of the differences you'll need to navigate. I didn't apply for any scholarships so I'm not familiar with that process. I am satisfied with the university, my course and the country.
