History
The University of Dundee was established in 1881 and is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom. In 1882, William Peterson became the first principal of the University College Dundee. Then, in 1897, ordinances affiliate University College Dundee with the University of St. Andrews and establish a Faculty of Medicine.
