For admission, 2:1 Honours degree Or PG diploma from a UK university or overseas equivalent is required. Applicants must also have achieved a mark equivalent to a 2:2 at undergraduate level in Mathematics or Mathematics related modules such as Business Mathematics, Statistics or similar. If necessary the university will assess the academic transcript for performance in Mathematics and Mathematics related modules. Alternatively A minimum of GCE A-Level grade B (or overseas equivalent) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics or Statistics may be considered to meet the quantitative requirement. Applicants who demonstrate being able to exceed the minimum entry requirements will be given preference. applicants with a UG degree of three or four years in duration from a recognised university in India will be considered for postgraduate taught study. students having UG degree will normally be expected to have achieved 55% - 60% or higher for 2:1 equivalency, or 50% - 55% for 2:2 equivalency depending on the awarding institution. Either: A four-year Bachelors degree (first class or very good upper second class)Or: A three-year Bachelors degree (first class) from recognised institutions in India.For MSc programmes, the Business School will consider holders of three-year degree programmes (first class or very good upper second class) from recognised institutions in India

Good Mix of Study and Co curricular activities

Tips: The Faculties are really good, Having Doctorates and good Industrial Experience. But since Uni is situated in a very small town. Part time and post study job opportunities are very low. One good advantage is it’s closer to London. So if your objective is just to study and you have enough funds that you are least worry about your Part time job. This is one of the best uni.

UOS: Academic Excellence.

Tips: Just be ready to hit the ground running—the academic pace here is no joke, and you’re pretty much on your own when it comes to figuring out the practical stuff. The whole move went okay, but I’d be lying if I said the culture shift didn't catch me off guard at first. Honestly, getting used to the living standards and even just finding decent food was a bit of a learning curve, but you settle into it eventually.

Likes (Safety): UOS and Guildford overall feels very safe, The campus has 24/7 security and cameras and well lit street inside campus. Access to accommodation is controller, which adds an extra layer of security. The environment is well managed which makes it feel like home.

Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Limited long term visa sponsorship and uncertain permanent settlement pathways While the UK influenced my rating and there are no placements like India, you have to find everything yourself. While the UK offers strong academic and professional exposure, sponsorship depends on the employers and is uncertain.

The university is very multicultural and multifaceted.

Tips: The university is very multicultural and multifaceted. You will get to experience everything here, ranging from academics to sports to theater. Going outside the comfort zone is key in university. I availed a 5000 scholarship meant for students with a good academic background. I am very satisfied with the university and course. Although it has become tougher to land a job, there is still hope if you work hard.

Likes (Public transportation): It has a bus service which stops at multiple spots on the campus. The university is well connected to the train station and the city center. The most frequent mode of transportation is the bus, followed by the train. There are also e-bikes across the campus.

Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement depends on the candidates resilience. The university does not guarantee any jobs or visa sponsored jobs. The competition is really high and the candidates must have spectacular technical as well as communication skills.

A great university for a new chapter of your life.

Tips: There was a big cultural shock in my studies: assignments and research papers are done differently from how we do them, and they pay more attention to practicals than theory in my field. I got a scholarship but filling out the form for their scholarship and write a letter explaining why I should receive it. I am very happy with the choice I made from university to course to country, because for my course, they gave a lot of knowledge from practical to theoretical, and a lot of field opportunities, and good guest professors in a great environment.

An underrated university just outside London.

Tips: There are different types of scholarships available; one should keep an eye out for them before applying. Transition was always smooth with good kind of people around you. I personally am very satisfied with the course as the subjects taught and the way they were taught also aligned well with what I was expecting.

Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty members were always available, and they possess a very high depth of knowledge in their domain. The teaching was mainly focused on self learning and you will always have your faculty to help you around. but self learning will always be the key which also helps you be independent.

Dislikes (Public transportation): There are buses that are available from the university campus to town centre at regular intervals. With an 30 mins commute to London by train makes it more connected to other parts of the UK and London. The transport cost is minimal, plus if you wish, almost everything is also in awalking distance which a lot of students opted for to save money.
