Decent college with reasonable tuition and good facilities.
Tips: Auburn University at Montgomery is an affordable college with a good course curriculum and good professors. Take care of your safety on campus, the college provides transit to Walmart and other stores, which is convenient. You can also apply for a scholarship of 10,000, but you must maintain a 3.0 or higher CGPA each semester to keep the scholarship.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of opportunities for on-campus roles, but off-campus positions are available as well. There are both on-campus and off-campus job opportunities, but I would recommend staying away from anything illegal. If you’re capable enough, you’ll be able to find work on campus, and the average pay for on-campus part-time jobs is around 11 dollars/hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Unfortunately, there are only a limited number of companies in Alabama that will sponsor work visas. Those that do are mostly looking for candidates in System Security, Product Management, Data Analytics, SAP or Project Management. The pay range starts at around 60,000 annually. While the curriculum here is solid, and I’ve learned a lot, it's not a prestigious school, so it might be harder to get sponsorship here.
