Established in 1870 as Colorado Agricultural College, Colorado State University is one of the nation’s top public research universities and an institution on the rise. The main campus of CSU is of 586 acres. The colleges at the university are Agricultural Sciences; Business; Health and Human Sciences; Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences; Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; Walter Scott, Junior College of Engineering; and Warner College of Natural Resources. At the campus, there are various facilities for students such as athletics and recreation, more than 500 student organizations, student diversity programs and services. Apart from these, the safety of the students is a high priority at the university.
If we talk about the Colorado State University courses, then international students can pursue studies at undergraduate and graduate level. Intensive English programs and Graduate Bridge programs are also available for students. Over 250 programs of study are available for students at undergraduate level. Some of the majors and concentrations at CSU are Agricultural Biology, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Psychology, etc. On the other hand, more than 260 graduate programs are available.
According to the 2022-23 catalog of CSU, last fall, the university welcomed more than 32,000 students. 69% of whom were Colorado residents and 26% of them came from diverse backgrounds. Also, the university typically hosts some 1,700 international students from more than 100 countries. CSU offers scholarships to its international students. The amount of these scholarships range from $2,000 to $12,000 per year. All those students who received the highest awards have a combination of outstanding grades (GPA), challenging coursework, and show case strong engagement in extra-curricular activities. On-campus and off-campus housing facilities are available for international students at CSU.
