Fashion Institute of Technology Placement overview

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is among the top 2% in the country for mid-career graduate salaries among community college alumni. The university has obtained the 10th and 6th rank, among Most Admired courses in the nation and Interior Design Schools Most Hired From by agencies, by Design Intelligence. 68% was the placement rate for associate degree holders and 88% was the placement amount for the bachelor’s degree graduates. 83% of the graduates who were working stayed in New York State for employment, 4% were working in New Jersey, and 2% were employed outside the U.S. 

87% of working bachelor’s degree holders and 79% of associate degree holders who did not opt for further education were in full-time employment. 77% of bachelor’s degree graduates who were into full-time employment were earning over $40,000 annually. Similarly, 48% of associate degree holders who were not pursuing higher education were getting more than $40,000 annually.

According to some of the unofficial sources, the university possesses the highest-paid graduates in the country in textile and apparel studies, merchandising, human sciences, specialised sales, marketing, consumer, etc. FIT’s Fashion Design & Fashion Business Management have been ranked among the best undergraduate courses across the globe.
