- Applicants should have an undergraduate degree.Although a specific major is not required, most applicants have a degree in a biological or social science (e.g., biology, genetics, biochemistry, sociology, social work).
- A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or a master's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. If a student has an undergraduate GPA less than 3.0, coursework completed after graduation demonstrating a higher GPA will be considered.

- Genetics
- Statistics
- Biochemistry
- Social Science
- Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy or Human Physiology (recommended for 2024 admissions cycle, required for 2025 admissions cycle)
