The university helps you to grow and be independent.
Tips: Here at Northeastern, we can explore diverse cultures, and there are many ongoing meetups and cultural activities. Not only do these activities pique our interest, but they also help expand our mindset and create networking opportunities. Northeastern University has a co-op panel that will teach you how to build your profile, how to network, and how to choose the correct career path. The school has a vast amount of opportunities and operations with some of the best networks in the United States, so you will have no shortage of internship opportunities if that's what you're looking for. I have availed scholarship and am quite satisfied with the college.
Dislikes (Value for money): In comparison to other universities, the same course would be around 25 Lacs, but here, it would be 50-75 Lacs, including all expenses and tuition feels. Boston has a high cost of living, which also needs to be taken into account.

Northeastern is place we can expose our strengths and prove what we are to the society.
Tips: I learned different cultures being here which made me enjoy college life. I didn't get any scholarships, my fees was paid by my family funds and some with the money I got from on campus job. The course is good and I am satisfied. I feel good about the country and atmosphere here.
Likes (Public transportation): Boston is good at public transport where we can reach every corner of the city with public transport. Our campus has line and green line connectivity which helps us reach campus on time safely. Also, we have multiple bus routes which connect the city.
Dislikes (Student Life): I spend most of my morning in college with friends, like attending classes, and playing TT. I participate in cultural activities and events. I was in RSO community where I used to safeguard my campus and this I do as my on-campus job. I was in a club at Curry Center.

A great place for learning and career growth.
Tips: Northeastern University is well known for its co-op programme, which provides hands-on work experience alongside studies. The academic workload is demanding, so good time management is essential. Boston is a great city for students, offering career opportunities but also being expensive, so financial planning is important. The campus is diverse and welcoming, with many student organizations. However, Boston winters are harsh, so students should prepare for cold weather. Moving to Northeastern was an exciting challenge. The U.S. education system focuses more on practical learning, discussions, and projects rather than just exams. Professors expect students to be independent, which was a shift for me. Socially, networking is important, and while people are friendly, building connections requires effort. The work culture encourages internships and part-time jobs, which helped me become more confident and independent. I received a merit-based scholarship, which helped reduce tuition cost. Northeastern offers various scholarships based on academic performance and financial need. The application required strong academic records, a personal statement, and recommendation letters. Apart from scholarships, students can also explore on-campus jobs and external funding options. I am highly satisfied with Northeastern, as it offers strong career support, industry connections, and flexible coursework. The U.S. provides global exposure and networking opportunities, but managing expenses and adapting to the fast-paced lifestyle takes effort. Overall, Northeastern is an excellent choice for students looking for career-focused education and real-world experience.
Likes (Safety): The university has strong security measures in place, making it a safe environment for students. The presence of 24/7 campus security, well-lit pathways, surveillance cameras, and controlled building access ensures that students feel secure at all times. Emergency call stations are strategically placed throughout the campus, allowing for quick access to help if needed. Additionally, the university provides late-night transportation services, reducing the risk associated with traveling alone. Safety awareness programs, self-defense workshops, and regular drills further enhance preparedness among students. Beyond campus security, the university also prioritizes student well-being through health and counseling services, ensuring that both physical and mental safety are addressed. Real-time safety alerts through mobile apps keep students informed of any potential risk, making it easy to stay cautious. My personal experience in the city has been mostly positive, as the local law enforcement is proactive, and public areas are generally safe. I have felt comfortable walking around both during the day and at night, especially in well-populated areas. However, like any city, there are certain neighborhoods where extra caution is required. The university provides guidance on such areas and advises students on safety measures when exploring beyond the campus. While I have not encountered any major safety concerns personally, I have heard of occasional incidents like petty theft in crowded places, which is common in any urban area. However, by following general safety precautions, such as avoiding isolated areas at night and keeping valuables secure, students can easily navigate the city without issues.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): While professors are highly knowledgeable and experienced, their teaching style varies. Some are engaging and supportive, while others rely heavily on independent learning, making it challenging for students who need more guidance. Faculty accessibility depends on the professors. Some are approachable and offer regular office hours, while others have limited availability. The university provides extra support through teaching assistants and advisors to help bridge this gap. A unique aspect of teaching at Northeastern is its experiential learning approach. Courses focus on real-world applications, case studies, and project-based learning, enhanced by the co-op programme, which provides hands-on industry experience. Many professors also use technology-driven methods to make learning more interactive. The faculty is diverse, with professors from various countries bringing global perspectives to education. However, increasing representation from underrepresented regions could further enhance the learning experience.

Research driven university. A complete package.
Tips: I haven't received any scholarship because it is not that easy to get one so if you plan to get it, try hard. It's suggested if you have any prior experience with the course then it will be easy to understand and would be easy to cope up with the curriculum. It is important to look into the various research and academic profile of the university.
Likes (Student Life): Students are nice and there are a lot of sources to learn from available at the university. The class pattern is quite flexible here as you will get ample time to explore other facilities of the university. In this university, the main attraction is the student library which is the main source where you can get a lot of material to enhance your knowledge. It does have a community for the students as the NU Sanskriti.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time jobs are hard to get if you have one you need to apply quite early before the course starts for the fall sessions. There are lots of opportunities to work that you have to search and look for the best option. If you are registered with a lot of classes in a week and you have a job on the campus just try to manage. Focus more on studies because that is the aim for which you would be here.

Northeastern university is great with quality of students, life, and different cultures.
Tips: Students should know about the course which they are going to choose. Keep in mind you have to work hard because USA is a fast country so we have to manage all things in a good way. Another thing is you do not have to be depressed with your inner thoughts. Work hard, and later on, you will get all things easily.
Likes (Part time work): You will get part time work(on campus) in the university by applying through their websites. It is very easy to get a job so not to worry about the jobs, definitely you will get it. USA will not offer any off campus jobs for students. So try to get on-campus jobs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): It's USA so we can not get much food like our country. But there are many shops and restaurants which offer good food and grocery. Another thing is that the prices of food and vegetables are so high it does not make any sense.

Wonderful career opportunities.
Tips: One should know how to explore various networking opportunities. Any international student should be ready to mingle with people and develop friendship, irrespective of nationality, and try to establish a circle in which he/she can learn, create memories and also explore career opportunities.
Likes (Student Life): Often events and celebrations for Diwali, Shankara, Buddha purnima, holi, etc. are organized and students get a chance to meet and network with fellow students. These events also provide a platform for students to exhibit their skills like dancing, singing, etc.
Dislikes (Part time work): Professors work as directors and CEOs of startups and product management departments in multiple well established organizations which help us understand the present market. This knowledge helps an individual to develop their skill set and hit the right spot to secure a wonderful career.
