Northeastern University was founded in 1898 by the Boston Young Men’s Christian Association as a male institution before being incorporated as Northeastern College in 1916. In 1898, the School of Law at the institute was founded with an advisory of a committee that included the dean of Harvard Law School and the dean of Boston University School of Law. Ell Hall is one of the oldest buildings at the campus. The hall includes administrative offices, classrooms, art display space and the Northeastern Bookstore. The Dodge Hall is located on the Krentzman Quandrangle and primarily serves as the home of the D’Amore McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
