Pacific States University (PSU) is a non-profit private educational institution founded by a renowned sound engineer William G. Buffinger. It was established as an independent private institution in 1928. The State of California granted it the authority to confer degrees in 1939. Currently, the university holds the accreditation of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). It is also recognized by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Over the years, the university has made its place amongst the leading providers of high-quality education in the field of computer science and business.

Situated in Los Angeles in Southern California, the PSU campus is equipped with world-class infrastructure and first-rate amenities to provide students with a great learning environment. It houses spacious classrooms, hi-tech computer laboratories with 24-hour Internet access and a huge library that is home to multiple volumes of more than 50 professional journals and periodicals. The campus has a modern student lounge that offers students an area to eat and relax. It also features several club rooms that are used by students to conduct group meetings or study privately. PSU offers numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in business and computer science, an Accounting Certificate Programme and an English as a Second Language (ESL) course. It houses students from the U.S. and 40 other countries across the world. The university facilitates excellent study exchange programs with students coming from multi-cultural backgrounds. It also has a Career Centre that contains books on creating resumes, job searching, interviewing skills and writing cover letters. The institution also organizes one-on-one counseling sessions, networking events and small group workshops. It conducts quarterly workshops that include cover letter development, curriculum vitae/resume creation and enhancement and strategies for job search.
