The most of the PSUs recruits candidates by using the GATE scores. So the GATE scores are mandatory requirements for PSUs. The Students of Integrated M.E/M.Tech or dual degree (5 years) after 12th are eligible for GATE exam. Hence Integrated B.Tech+M.Tech students are eligible for PSUs Jobs in India

It depends on the PSU for which you are working. You need to have permission in the form of a NOC to pursue any course for additional qualification, according to service rules at the majority of PSUs. This applies to correspondence courses as well, and you need to have a prior NOC to register at IGN
