The University of Chicago acceptance rate is around 5%. For the undergraduate Class of 2027, the acceptance rate that has been 4.7%. A total of 38,800 applications were submitted to the university and the total number of applications that got accepted were 1,849. Looking at the acceptance rate, it can be said that UChicago is very selective at the time of admissions. For the University of Chicago admissions, the applicants are required to submit English language proficiency score. In the case of graduate admissions, the minimum required scores varies as per the programs. The accepted test scores are IELTS / TOEFL in the case of graduate programs. Yes, the University of Chicago offer scholarships to international students. Undergraduate students are eligible for Merit Scholarships. All first-year students are automatically considered for this scholarship and no separate application is required.
- University Merit Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of outstanding academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular achievement, and commitment to their communities. These awards range as per the amount, but students can expect to receive minimum of USD 2,000. - First Phoenix Scholarship: All first-generation students shall be awarded a USD 2,000 scholarship for over four years. These awards are made to the students whose parents did not attain a degree from a 4-year college or university
