University of Chicago Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

To get into UChicago, the applicants have to have an outstanding academic record, since the university’s acceptance rate is around 5%. There are scholarships from the University of Chicago for international students. Merit scholarships are available to undergraduate students. No separate application is needed to apply for these scholarships; all first-year students are automatically eligible and taken into consideration.

University Merit Scholarships: The University Merit Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of certain achievements, that include academic achievements, their leadership skills, extracurriculars and commitment to their communities. These awards range as per the amount, but students can expect to receive a minimum of USD 2,000. Please note, scholarships can be awarded for 4 years of undergraduate education, or for funding of summer opportunities.

The University of Chicago acceptance rate is around 5%. For the undergraduate Class of 2027, the acceptance rate that has been 4.7%. A total of 38,800 applications were submitted to the university and the total number of applications that got accepted were 1,849. Looking at the acceptance rate, it can be said that UChicago is very selective at the time of admissions.
