A: 

The University of Denver requires an English language proficiency score from all the overseas candidates during the time of application. However, students are generally exempted from the English proficiency test requirement if they have any of the following:

  • Secondary/high school Diploma from a school where the language of instruction is English; OR
  • A baccalaureate degree or higher from a formally-recognized/accredited university where the institution's sole language of instruction and examination is English; OR

Q:   Can I work while studying in the University of Denver?
A: 

International students are allowed to work on campus in the University of Denver for a maximum of 20 hours per week when classes are in session and up to 37.5 hours per week during vacation periods. However, these positions are very limited. After nine months of enrollment, students may apply through International Student and Scholar Services for a permit to work off campus. These opportunities are also very limited. Dependents of students holding an F-1 visa may not work at DU under any circumstances.
