The University of North Texas offers many facilities to its students. University of North Texas Athletics
The University of North Texas has dedicated sports and athletics facilities. The university hosts intercollegiate teams in a variety of sports such as football, tennis, baseball, track and field, and a range of club sports for its 337 student-athletes. Having 16 varsity teams, the athletic teams of UNT compete in NCAA Division I and are known as the Mean Green (formerly known as the North Texas Eagles). They have won 142 conference championships include 50 since 2000.
The university also has a mascot named Scrappy. Some of the athletic facilities provided at the UNT campus include Lovelace Stadium, DATCU Stadium, The Super Pit, UNT Volleyball Center, Bruzzy's UNT Golf Practice Facility, Unity Plaza, and Athletic Center.
