De Montfort University Dubai: Fees, Rankings, Courses, Reviews

If a student is applying for scholarships at De Montfort University, Dubai, then he/she must follow these points: 

• One must first check the criteria, and edibility of the kind of scholarship he/she is eligible for. These can be merit based, sports, Low-income background, and others.
• The applicant must prepare their scholarship application documents which can be letters of recommendation, personal statement, academic marksheets, and certifications.
• The application for scholarship can be submitted through the DMU Dubai Application portal.
• The application must be submitted within the deadline.
• Few of the DMU Dubai scholarships are reviewed through interviews, or through further assessments.
• Once all these processes are completed, the applicant must wait for the university to declare the scholarship results.

To achieve merit-based scholarship at De Montfort University Dubai, an undergraduate applicant must have high scores in their previous academic qualification. For Indian students, these scholarships are based on the CBSE or equivalent board scores in Grades XI and XII. A 30% scholarship is given to students who have achieved 90%+ scores in their Grade XII under CBSE. For 80-89.9% score category under CBSE, the students will receive a 25% scholarship. For those who received 70-79.9% scores under Grade XII of CBSE, a 20% scholarship is availed. The students also need to keep a constant GPA of 70% in order to receive the scholarship in their subsequent years of pursuing a course at DMU Dubai.

An applicant is required to submit all the required document to be eligible for a DMU Dubai scholarship. The document list is given below: 

• A filled scholarship request form to be submitted prior to the deadline.
• High School marksheets, and university's academic transcripts which proves scores, percentages, and grades achieved.
• An offer from the DMU Dubai Admissions Office proving admission into DMU Dubai.
• A written personal statement showing the student as a deserving scholarship candidate.
• Letters of Recommendation, proving the student's credibility, from teachers, professors, and employers.
• IELTS, TOEFL, or Pearson PTE examination certification, showing the student's English language proficiency.
• Community service achievements, or sports achievements, when applying for scholarships in these categories.
• Financial documents for lower-income background students.
• Passport Copy
• Additional document required as per the scholarship applied.

De Montfort University Dubai offers discounts to students who are paying the full tuition fees early, or are returning to DMU Dubai for further studies. The applicants who pay their annual tuition fee early, or prior to the deadline receive a discount called the Early Application Discount (EAD). This is applicable for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and foundation courses. The discount percentage varies on the basis of intake, and program. Those who have already completed a course from DMU Dubai and are applying to pursue another higher course from there, are applicable for an Alumni discount. 25% of the tuition fee will be reduced for these applicants.
