Queen's University Belfast Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

Queen's University accepts the IELTS Academic and TOEFL internet-based tests for direct admission to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. For IELTS Academic, candidates need to score 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test and for TOEFL iBT the university requires 80 as the minimum marks followed by different section scores given below:

For this reason, it may be possible at the discretion of the Selector to consider candidates from top institutions who have achieved a very good Second Class degree with a final average of 53% or above (where a UK 2:2 is required)

The following entry requirements are for undergraduate courses at Queen’s University Belfast:

• An average of 70-85% or higher in the best of five academic subjects in Grade 12, awarded by CISCE, CBSE, any state board, or equivalent is required.

• Additionally, a minimum percentage of 75% in every essential subject is necessary. 

• JEE Mains and JEE Advanced marks are also considered. In such cases, students’ percentage in class must not be below 60%.
