California Lutheran University: Courses, Admission, Cost

Conversational and academic proficiency of English is an integral part of studying at Cal Lutheran. Only those candiadates are eligible who have:

• Minimum Duolingo English Test score of 110
• Minimum TOEFL score of 213 computer-based;  550 paper-based; or 79 internet-based
• Minimum IELTS score: 6.5
• Minimum Pearsons (PTE Academic) score: 58
• Completion of ELS 112
• Completion of first-year English (college level) with a grade of "C" or better at an accredited community college or university
• Applicants who attend secondary school where English is the language of instruction for a minimum of three years may have the proof of English proficiency requirement waived on a case by case basis. 

California Lutheran University cost of tuition vary as per the programm opted by the student. Also, each program has its own requirement and eligibility criteria and deadline that must be fulfilled by the international students. However, according to official stats the tuition fee for undergraduate for the academic year 2024-2025 for fall 2024-spring 2025 is USD 70,000-USD 80,000 (INR 58,51,265-INR 66,87,160). This may also include other expenses such as housing. Students must contact the university for the same. 

California Lutheran University IELTS required score is 6.5. However, international students can also appear for tests such as TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo that have their own minimum score requirement. The test scores are to be submitted within a year of students enrolment. The requirement for English language proficiency can be waived but case-by-case basis for the international students who hail from English speaking country only.
